Hey everyone, I'm new here but thought I share some of my current work. This is my own created Space Marine Chapter called the Bengal Marines and yes they are based off the Cincinnati Bengals for those that watch the NFL and yes I know they suck but hey I'm a fan and I always kind of saw Space Marines as essentially big Space Football players with their hulking features, big shoulder pads, and being doped up on so many performance enhancing drugs and all lol. So it just inspired me to make these guys based on my favorite team, so here are my Bengal Marines Command Squad. Hope you like them =).

lol I know thats one aspect to collecting these things that I haven't learned or done yet. It's pretty simple I know but like I said just haven't gotten around to it so I just based them in grass =P.

Yeah thanks, the orange can be a pain in the butt though. They require a lot of coats and then, I'm not sure if you can see it on their helmets, I paint tiger stripes on those too which are often pretty tedious because you want to get them sharp and not just a blob of black on orange lol.

I guess these go along with the Indianapolis Colt Marines, AKA Ultramarines.

this is very creative, to top this off i think you need to paint the base like they were on a football field LOL, add little lines on it, a 50 yrd marker ect, lol.

LoL yeah eventually what I want to do is paint a marine for all 32 teams in the NFL. Could be cool =).

I've noticed, over the course of playing DOW I & II, that NFL color schemes make good Space Marine paint schemes.

you should add some spacewolf marine bits to get some tiger fur.

To add to Samius' point, try getting stuff with the paw or claw such as the storm shield pictured here:



Avoid the bits with the wolves and you'll have a pretty decent supply of bits that fit your theme.

Yeah thats what I was thinking of too, I was also thinking of using the Bengal Marines with the Space Wolves codex as well for the gaming aspect.

LoL I just noticed on my Land Raider from looking at theses pics that one of the tank lid hatches is broken off. Better go glue that if it's in the case =P lol.

Who Dey brotha! He's actually a Captain lol but I'm starting on a chaplain termie for the army as well soon.

I like the black bases. It keeps things simple, and the models are colorful enough. Adding green would be too much with the static grass already on there.
Good going, I love seeing Space Marines that aren't just Blue, Red, Green, Black or Grey. Even though I'm not a Bengals fan...

That paint scheme looks really nice, definitely one of the better sports themed ones I've seen.

I love 'em, good ally for my colts aka ultramarines haha.

Paint scheme works really well. Crazy idea maybe, but very well executed. They don't look out of place in the 40K universe IMHO.

I'm really liking the more 'Camo' Marine schemes - maybe it's something to do with the Badab release...
