I Gave it a shot and i quite like the result , the washed bases are bestial brown washed with badab black , i was think of trying bestial bronw washed with devian mud any thoughts ?

Not easy to tell from those photos as they're quite blurry. Any macro option on your camera?

As for the best wash to use I'd guess that the black would give you more definition, if you want to use Devlan Mud then a lighter brown base colour may work better (Snakebite Leather, Graveyard Earth for example). You could even try a beige base colour, something like Kommando Khaki might give you a nice clay colour.

Hi Noise Marine,

I agree with Bullfrog. Those pics make it really hard to tell - although colours look good so far, there is little detail visible yet.
Perhaps it could help to turn on the macro feature on your camera...
Depending on which camera you use.

look for a macro symbol on your camera - kinda looks like a flower. also get a tripod or something to rest the camera on and stop it from shaking in your hands. that way we can see the detail
