Earlier today, I got it into my head that it would be funny to base a DE Reaver bike gang off the Capsules for Akira, and I decided that the best way to start was to make a little center piece for the unit using a 60mm base and some left over models. Here is how it turned out:
And here is the original poster for comparison:
Probably going to roll with the idea and have a whole unit of guys in this color scheme.

I too, think that you did an awesome job.
But would you reconsider doing the capsule gang as orks?

My buddy has space marines, so I'm trying to convince him to let me paint his Bikers as the Clowns so we can have gang fights . If not, then I'll add some Orky clowns. Also, the diorama really loses a lot form being viewed from a different angle, and the face/armor highlights aren't done, but here you go:

Yeah! I like!! Old school Akira junkie here. Orks would make good clowns, I think CSM would be a better choice than the SM though but that's just my humble opinion.
Awesome job though!!

That looks awesome
Is Akira the one with the big giant monster blob thing at the end of the film?

Awesome!
One of my old portraits on this site was the pill from the back of Kaneda's jacket.
I own the 6 original Akira books in both English and Japanese, have three different versions of the film, and own several figures, inclusing Kaneda sitting on his bike, and Tetsuo mid gross-out transformation.

Hahahaha that's awesome! I especially like the way you graffiti-ized the title bit. Can't wait to see it when you've finished painting.

Cool idea and nicely done. It would be cool to see the clowns as Ork bikers... might have to steal that idea for a future MOb!
