EDIT: SO! Restarting this whole shebang. Not only are my marines not Mentor's anymore (more of a personal chapter, whom I like to call the Apprentice Legion, who are kind of a sub-chapter to them), but this blog isn't only about them anymore! Now, since I have Tau somewhat started (Bummed they may not be updated), and that I'm taking a break from them, I'm starting CSM marines soon, and I'll be going Alpha Legion if I do. Besides that, I do plan on doing a small Salamanders army, cause why not? They look so freaking cool! Other than that, I will do Tau eventually, and then I maaaaay do a Guard army if I wanna. Besides that, I have my Cryx from WarMachine as well! Very small right now, I need more. I hope you all enjoy my work! And I'll let everyone know right now... I am a Dreadnought fanatic. Considering I have eight of them with more to come.

Okay, so I've been wanting to get my army out here on Dakka Dakka for quite a while. The only problem I have is finding a camera So, for now, I'll just post the units I've got for my army right now:

HQ:

Marneus Calgar with the Armor of Antilochus

4 Honor Guards - two with a power weapon (in the form of an axe), one with a chapter banner and relic blade, and one with a relic blade.

Space Marine Captain with Relic blade and bolter

Troops:

1st tact squad: 5 man squad. Sergeant has bolt pistol and chainsword, and the other 5 have boltguns. This is also my Angry Marine painted squad, so they have a banner that says RAEG.

2nd tact squad: 5 man squad. Sergeant has a boltgun, and is also holding a bolt pistol in the other hand (for show of course! ).

3rd tact squad: 5 man squad. Sergeant has a chainsword and bolt pistol.

4th tact squad: 10 man squad. Sergeant has a boltgun and a power weapon. Their special weapons right now are a flamer and a rocket launcher.

5th tact squad: 10 man squad. Sergeant has a boltgun. Their special weapons are a meltagun and a rocket launcher.

6th tact squad: 10 man squad. Sergeant has a chainsword and bolt pistol. Their special weapons are a meltagun and a rocket launcher.

Scout squad: 5 man squad. Sergeant has a combat blade and a bolt pistol. Another has the same loadout, two others have snipers, and the last one has a rocket launcher.

2nd Scout Squad: 5 man squad. Sergeant has chainsword and bolt pistol. Two have boltguns, one has a shotgun, and their special weapon is a heavy bolter with hellfire rounds.

Dedicated Transports:

Rhino: Has a hunter-killer missile and a storm bolter.

Elites:

1st Terminator Squad: 7 man squad. Sergeant has a relic blade and a storm bolter. Their special weapon is a heavy flamer. The other five have storm bolters, and power fists.

2nd Terminator Squad: 5 man squad. Sergeant has lighting claws. Their special weapon is an assault cannon. The other three have storm bolters and power fists.

3rd Terminator Squad: 5 man squad. Sergeant has a relic blade and a storm bolter. Their special weapon is a Cyclone missile launcher. The other three have storm bolters and power fists.

Venerable Dreadnought: His most common load out is an assault cannon, a storm bolter and a power fist. He also can switch his assault cannon out for a plasma cannon and twin-linked lascannon.

Ironclad Dreadnought: He has two hunter-killer missiles, and assault launchers. His most common load out is a seismic hammer and power fist, both with heavy flamers on them. His other two weapons are a hurricane bolter and a chainfist.

2nd Ironclad Dreadnought: Has the same loadout as the first Ironclad, but instead of having heavy flamers on his seismic hammer and power fist, he has a meltagun and a storm bolter.

Dreadnought: Has the basic loadout of a assault cannon, storm bolter, and powerfist. He also has a twin-linked lascannon and a missile launcher.

Techmarine: I sometimes use him also as a Master of the Forge. He has a flamer, and a twin linked plasma pistol, along with a power weapon (in the form of an axe), and a boltgun. He's also accompanied by 4 servitors, two with heavy bolters.

Sternguard Squad: 5 man squad. Sergeant has a lighting claw and bolt pistol. One has a plasma gun, one has a combi-plasma, one has a combi-melta, and the last one has a storm bolter.

Fast Attack:

1st Assault Squad: 5 man squad. Sergeant has a combat shield, and a relic blade. One marine has a chainsword and a plasma pistol. The other three have chainswords and bolt pistols.

2nd Assault Squad: 5 man squad. Sergeant has a relic blade and a combat shield. One marine has a flamer, and the other three had chainswords and bolt pistols.

3rd Assault Squad: 5 man squad. Sergeant has a relic blade and combat shield. One marine has a chainsword and a plasma pistol. The other three have chainswords and bolt pistols.

Vanguard Squad: 5 man squad. Sergeant has a lighting claw and bolt pistol. Two have plasma pistols, one has a force weapon, and the others have the regular chainsword and bolt pistol combo.

Heavy Support:

1st Devastator Squad: 5 man squad. Sergeant has a power fist and bolt pistol. One marine has a heavy bolter. Another has a Lascannon. Another marine has a rocket launcher, and the last one has multi-melta.

2nd Devastator Squad: 6 man squad. The sergeant is a dark angel (lol), with a chainsword and bolt pistol. Three of the marines have rocket launchers, and the other two have bolters.

Predator Tank: it has sponsons, and I can put either two lascannons or two heavy bolters on them. It's main turret is either and autocannon or a twin linked lascannon. It also has a rocket launcher and a storm bolter on it.

Land Raider Crusader: It has two hurricane bolters on it, assault launchers, a storm bolter, and a twin linked assault cannon.

I'll be getting them up soon, I'm slowly painting/repainting a huge amount of models D:>

It's definitely been a while, that's for sure. I... Need to really update this page. I mean, seriously. Its been difficult, and I've been busy with other things in the time I've been gone (girlfriend/school/summer/family, ect) But I'm finally coming back! And, I've got up to about 3,000 points of marines! Thankfully, in a way, most of them aren't painted, so you get to see my progress! Sort of. I did paint most of my big units.

But, I'm also going to be using this page for many other things as well. I have given four of my dreadnought's personalities, models of them before they were encased in dreadnought armor, and a background story. The stories are still in progress, and three out of the four dreadnoughts have personalities and have been built. I am a dreadnought happy boy, with about eight of them so far, soon to be about twelve, as I am going to buy one more regular dreadnought, and the forge world models. And these aren't even including my CSM dreadnoughts and Salamanders Dreadnoughts I hope to get in the future. So, expect that to come! As for now, I'll try and figure out a way to take pictures

Finally updating more of my pages.

FINALLY.

So, this ENTIRE BLOG is now not only about Tau, Salamanders, and CSM, but now it has more Grey Knights, Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Black Templars, Cryx, and Vampire Counts!

I'll try finally getting pictures for this dang blog when I can finally take some good quality ones. I want you guys to at least see what I've done correctly! But for now, here's my progress on everyone!

Black Templars are almost at 1500, and I only need a Vindicator for em! Might boost it to 2000 also, so check out my blog on their army list! HERE http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/430024.page
Dark Angel's are at 50ish%, with three squads of Terminators, and a soon to be repainted Land Raider! Their army list will be up soon!
CSM are almost also at 1500, whereas I only need a Chaos Dreadnought. They will also be getting an army list blog.
Blood Angels only have one unit right now, and that's a squad of Death Company! Not at full strength though. They'll also get an army list blog!
Grey knights are in the same situation as the Blood Angels, my only unit for them being regular ol' Grey Knights. Their army list blog will be linked here soon!
Salamanders are at...25ish%? No clue. HERE'S THEIR ARMY LIST BLOG! http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/429952.page
I traded my Tau away for a majority (and I mean practically my whole army) of CSM, and my Vampire counts, so I'm starting fresh! Their army list might share a blog with my Grey knights, considering they're both small armies that will only go up to 1000pts for now!
My Cryx is only the battle box. I... Honestly have no clue as to where to go from there. Advice anyone?
Vampire Counts are pretty much the battleforce, minus the Skeletons, but plus a metal vampire lord! I need tons of advice on these guys as well!

That'll be all for now, I pray to god I get some more things up soon, I feel like I'm letting you all down!

You are letting us all down. Really! YOU ARE! BLARGH!

Speaking of pictures, you are an excellent artist. I was woundering if you might be interested in the contest the heroic 28s are doing? Listen to their 28th episode (The rules are in the first 5 minutes-ish), but it involves drawing. On paper!

http://theheroic28s.blogspot.com/

In other news, I traded my CSM for a Tau army.

And get those BT up here. They are a GOOD looking army, and the whole internet should see them.

@Happygrunt - Does the contest involve any winnings? If not, then nay.

I still liked the trade.

I did, here's the link. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/430024.page

I feel the need to have to redo my Mentor's Legion, as they were the first thing to really make me enjoy Space Marines. I plan on making a 1500pt army, Dreadnought heavy, forge world heavy, and filled to the brim with cool gadgets and bits. Hope people can help suggest things to me about which way I should go with this army.

Well, I need to update, and here's my update:

We all have that one army we start. The one that was the coolest, that was so amazing. That it popped out from all the others. This is the story of my first army.

When I started the Mentor Legion Space Marines, I had little to start out with. I originally started with the black reach set, an ironclad dreadnought, and one assault squad. Sadly, at said time in my life, I was only worried about what was cool looking and what I liked most on a guy, rather than actually building lists. So I ended up with a lot of space marines with no where to field them. I was sad for a while, feeling I wasted too much. But then I got hope. I moved past the Mentor's, and went on to my other armies, such as my Black Templars, Dark Angels, Chaos Space Marines, and Blood Angels. I was happy whilst I worked on them. But every time I looked back at the shelf filled with my Mentor's stuff, I felt like I had failed them. I filtered some men from the army into the Salamander's, yet I wasn't able to filter much. I felt even more disappointed. And that's when I started my work again on my Mentor's. I read up on the fluff, and saw where I could fit things, and where I could not. Being a Dreadnought and tank fan, I was disappointed when I found out the army is much more infantry based, fluff wise. But, then again, that doesn't stop me from adding a few here and there. I already have started work on 2000pts. The 2000pts will start out as fixer-upper models that I've converted through lots of green stuff, cutting, and gluing. Later, I might replace them, but for now, they will do. I hope I can start posting pictures of the model's I'm converting/painting, and I hope people are patient with me as well. This will be a long task, but I feel as though my Mentor's deserve the attention, and more importantly, the care they need. They also need to look a bit more futuristic, so I need to figure that all out whilst I work upon them. No painting will be done until I am satisfied with all of them. Again I thank you for your time, and input will help a lot.

Here's some background info for people interested in reading about them!

Well, posted this in another thread, but if people manage to stop by, here's what I'm looking for:

Here's what I got, but I seriously need some help assembling it into a force worth play (doesn't have to be competitive, but at least workable.)

I hope to make both Iron hands and Salamanders from this list, so please, try to work with it. I don't want to really buy much else, so try avoiding it unless the army can't function without it. I'm also Dread and Termie happy, but I would like to see a list that makes use of the Assault Marines. If you can't fit the army design into either the Salamanders or the Iron hands, just make a list, I'd love to see what people come up with! ALSO, BITS ARE EXCHANGEABLE ON ALL MODELS. I'M WILLING TO REMOVE SOME ARMS AND SUCH.
41 (estimate) basic marines w/ bolters
10 sergeants - 6 with bolt pistols and chainswords, two with blowguns and chainswords, 1 with a power sword and a bolt pistol, and the other with a power axe and bolt pistol
1 Master of the forge/Techmarine w/ servo harness
1 Librarian in termiw armor
5 sternguard, 1 with a storm bolter and power fist, two with combi-flamers, 1 with a flamer, 1 with nothing
15 scouts - 6 with sniper rifles, 5 with bolt pistols and CC blades, 1 bolter, 1 heavy bolter, 2 missile launchers
16 terminators - 2 with thunder hammers, 3 lighting claws, 1 assault cannon, 1 chainfist
17 Heavy/Special Weapons - 7 missile launchers, 3 heavy bolters, 2 lascannons, 2 multi meltas, 1 meltagun, 1 flamer, 1 plasma cannon
20 Assault Marines - 2 sergeants w/ power swords + combat shields, 1 sergeant w/ power axe + combat shield, 1 sergeant w/ power fist + plasma pistol, 2 flamers, 2 plasma pistols
1 chapter master/captain w/ nothing
1 command squad w/ company champ + standard bearer + apothecary
Marneus Calgar's honor guard squad.
1 Rhino
1 Whirlwind
1 Predator w/ Las sponsons + autocannon or TL lascannon
1 Land Raider
1 Land Raider Crusader/Redeemer
2 Regular Dreadnoughts
3 Venerable Dreadnoughts
2 Ironclad Dreadnoughts

I hate leaving everyone hanging, so I'll get them up as soon as I can. This will include pictures of newly converted models, built models, and recently painted (and some old painted) models! From my CSM, to my DA, to my BT, and even my five man Death Company squad!
