*READ BEFORE SCROLLING DOWN!!*

Hey Dakkanauts! We all have that one bad painted model we made years ago sitting in our closets the make us cringe in pain thinking about them.

This thread is dedicated to "those" models and redoing them.

Rules are:
1. Submit the first paint job first with the year you painted them in
2. Submit the second Paint job following it.

I'll kickstart this thread with my own terribad model but I must give a-

WARNING BEFORE YOU SCROLL DOWN FURTHER
The awfulness of this model's old paint scheme still makes me writhe so be prepared to see something nasty.

I like this game! I feel like I should probably give a warning as well, as this is absolutely eye melting, but here's the first model I ever painted from way back when in 2009:

And here he is after a fight with my dog, some replacement parts and a repaint: (finished this a few months ago now)

Great idea for a thread!

I painted my first (now oop)terminators sometime around 2000, they were bleached bone and really awful.

So when the new ones came out in 2005 I decided to paint them green.

Right now i'm repainting the entire squad, bits have been swapped around and repositioned (and new/unpainted DA bits added), but they're still the same old guys.

p.s. Since taking the photo I have removed the MOLD LINE OMG!!

Couldn't get the image thingy to work but here are the links.

After: 2010

This is the result of painting entire armys with very little available time. It was probably 40 to 50 hrs versus 8 hrs painting time. I get anywhere from 2 to 8 hrs painting time a week in at the moment. Back in my schooldays I'm sure I was able to squeeze 30 hrs out of the week when I wanted.

I want to play this game! Subscribing and I'll be back this weekend at the latest. I hope. Problem is I didn't take a lot of pics back then and nowadays I don't repaint old models unless I'm recycling them into another force.

*thinking*

... I'll find something. Great thread idea!

Years ago I bought a second hand box of "Hero Quest".
