So, a few days before the release of the BA Plastic Dred Kit, I decided that I was done waiting and decided to create my own Death Co Dread, and model up some Blood Talons, as I saww thm in my mind.

So I dug out an old beat up Dread I had thought about throwing away and started gluing random deco-bits to it... and I think it turned out well for a "throw away" dred.

Even after seeing the new BA Dred kit, and the "Blood Talons" I still prefer mine.

What do you think?

i like that a lot. though i am a fan of oversized weapons!

Yeah they are quite long, I was glad to have kept the posability of the arms, plus it is nice they can be posed agressively!

Shamefully the Shoulders and Arms were removed from an "Iron Man: War Machine" action figure. Then glued in place and the hands were plasti-pegged into place so I pulled them out, cut off a couple of boneswords from a left over Trygon took a lighter to it, melted it into shape then super glued into position.

The whole process was exceedingly quick, and the result.... well, better than I could have hoped.

I think the talons look just a little too kit-bashed. I would suggest maybe trimming the sides down into more of a blade shape? Anyways I love everything else, amazing work.

Now it's grown on me.

I wasn't aware blood talons were actually like scythes? On the other hand, it looks completely awesome, I love it.

In the plasti-kit for the new BA dred they are basically a little longer than the "Blood Fists" hand options... not very different so, yeah, they should be different to have such a powerful rule.

I can see the dred rotating at the waist like a giant weed-eater chewing through troops like goose shiat through a tin horn.

Im having trouble with that metaphor in my mind.
