I recently start playing Orboros in Hordes/WarMachine and these are the first two fully painted models I've done for them.

Looking good, love the Woldwarden.

Warmachine/Hordes seem to have some great models.
Maybe I´ll take a look into those systems at some point. Only problem will be to convince my gaming group to play something besides Warhammer. Then again, it seems the armies are not that big, so I could do two armies each, and then make a few test games...

Anyway, as I said: Great work ^^

Thank ya, a lot of my play group felt the same way about Warmachine/hordes. It's a good game to have for minor breaks from 40k/fantasy which was the reason I finally decided to join my play group and hop on in to it.

Worldwarden looks great.

Not too keen about the Warpwolf, but that's to do with disliking the model itself as it's still painted fairly well as well.

Just get them to drop $50 for the battlebox of their choice. It's 3 or 4 models that are all about even among the factions, and it's by far the most fun you'll have had wargaming.

Hm, maybe I´ll get them convinced.

Anyway, sorry to hijack this thread, but I was formerly under the impression that Warmachine and Hordes were two similar but seperate systems (pretty much like Warhammer Fantasy and 40k) but from what I´ve seen it´s one game (more or less) and the armies can fight against each other while not coming from the same system (say, Circle against Proctectorate of Menoth).

Did I understand that correctly?

And now back to the regulary scheduled thread.

Yes. Some mercenary models will actually work for both Hordes and Warmachine factions- they're 100% compatible. To the point where they probably should just have one rulebook (oh well).

Both games use exactly the same system, with the exception that Warmachine has rules for Warjacks (steam powered robots) and Hordes has rules for Warbeasts. That difference is integral to how a faction plays, but it doesn't effect your opponent's force at all.

New players tend to think that Hordes is more powerful than Warmachine, but as you play more, you'll find the two to be very well balanced.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

I especially like the green effects you have achieved.

And I know how it feels to drop something you have just worked on - dropped an entire army of figures the other day. Was not a happy banana
