I would say that the wings (at least from the lighting in the picture) are dark enough. Your character has a real baroque art period sensibility, I dont know if you were going for that or not. But it fits the BA's well.
What other type of advice are you looking for? The wings should maybe have a slightly shade of the same color highlighting the edges or tips. In my picture gallery you can check out my San guard and see my wings if you'd like, though they basically look like all the other SG wings out there. Your are truely unique which is a good thing. I would also recommend highlighting your metallics on the armor. The overall paint job itself looks fantastic!

Thanks! Yeah, I wanted to be a little different and shy away from the usual gold metallics that GW used so I went with a more copper/bronze look. I'm having a bit of trouble with the depth though on the chest plates. It could be just the camera flash reflecting off the shiny metal paint, but I'm wondering if I need to touch up the crevices with a wash. Automatically Appended Next Post: But basically what I did, was do an undercoat of Tin Bits, I washed that with Devlin Mud, then I dry brushed over that with Dwarf Bronze. I'm wondering what I could use to highlight a bit better I guess.

I really like how this guy looks. The bronze finish is something i hadn't actually seen before, but you did a good job on it. I would only say that you could highlight the armor a little more. For you highlight, you could always mix a bit of shining gold with the bronze and see how it looks.

My vote would be for the white, or at least a very white-highlighted blue. That would contrast excellently with the bronze and really pop out
Excellent work!

I second the idea of painting the Jump Packs, here's a tutorial by roleplayer on how to get a great looking effect:

Otherwise however I think they look great; I love the dark, gritty gold; very 40K and the swords and wings look excellent too. Seriously impressed man, keep up the good work!
