I'm pretty proud of how this guy turned out (even if I'm not that good at painting ) So yeah here he is...

not bad, but i would drop the shield and go with something more...khorne like. Also if you are going to use a shield, i would pick up a chaos warrior shield from WHFB they have some very nice chaos stuff.

Nah, it's the top part of the leman russ sponson. I'm thinking of adding spikes to it around the edges, haven't decided yet.

I would've went w/ something more khorne like buuuut my skills are very limited so I figured the best route was to go w/ something simple. The only other things I can think to do would be to have him hold a skull or something. Besides, I tried to go for "what you see is what you get" and since a daemon weapon is supposed to be two handed I couldn't give him gun or anything. I'm going to try to make it be more "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!" somehow though, probably with spikes or trophies attached.

Add skulls and spikes to the sheild and always take the 2d6 +att deamon weapon for him. My Abadon char fell on his sword last week so be careful, so my Horus clone will do much better next game.

I usually do go with the 2d6 version, if only so I can say CHOP! CHOP CHOP! CHOP! as I charge my cousins orks with his termi bodyguards in tow.

You dont have to be a spectacular painter to take pride in your work. Its admirable that you actually take the time to paint your figures and dont become discouraged and choose not to paint them simply because your not the best painter on the planet. I think the character looks great. I would like to make a small recommendation, I would suggest trying out a wash or two on your model. By watering down either badab black or delvan mud and applying it all over the model will significantly change the dynamic of the model. It will give it much more depth and im sure you would be pleased with the result. Best of luck with your future painting endeavors!
