Hello there.

Was looking over some old pictures I have on my acc on photobucket, and came over some Vostroyans I once had.
It got sold by mistake... I was selling alot of stuff, and entered my Vostroyans at a ridiculous asking price that I didn't expect anyone to bid on... in the end I got more than I asked for and had to sell the army :(

Perhaps one day I will rebuild the Vostroyan army. Atm I have Elysians IG, Grey Knights and Sisters of Battle to deal with.
I actually don't have time for a forth army... but I want to have a Baneblade, and Vostroyans are the most suited ones for me. Can't really motivate Elysians having them on regular basis.

They look fantastic. I have to agree with what was said above, that I have never seen a full Vostroyan force myself, but the one you created looks magnificent.

Army looks great, to bad you had to sell.

Never either seen a full one and many tried where I live.
But none had time, nor money to get them all in time.

So I bought them all for a very very low price, trades, even gifts in many cases. So thats how I made one up, gathered all who tried

I think I spent $100 on the entire army.
I don't think I can pull that off today, as there are virtually no one who has these models anymore where I play.

Actually gonna look in the IG codex now. Been focusing on Air cav IG, gonna see what I can pull of for a Mech Vostroyan army.

Lovely army. Pity it's gone.
To this day I still wonder why I passed on them....

Such a shame to sell an army like that.

But thats also the charm with the Vostroyans I guess, that they are so rare.
But they are to rare indeed.

Nope I'm not one of the watchers. What I meant was why did I not buy an army for myself when they were easily available during their release period. Was abit unclear earlier!!! Apologies!

It's always wonderful to see an army that has been lovingly painted and converted into a very personal one (does that sentence make sense? Feels horribly wrong!).

Is there any chance these lads have been on the GW homepage quite a while ago? Especially your rough riders seem familiar...
And if so, can I please please have a tutorial for all the conversions you've made? ^^

First of all, thanks again people.

Well I did put some extra thought into these. Was experimenting with bases during this time. And had gotten my hands on alot of city of death bitz.

Regarding if I had these on a GW site or not. I for one didn't send them in. But the buyer might have sent them in.

As for a tutorial. Well its both simple and hard.
The normal rough riders are made from... well rough riders for IG. But the hats are remade. And this is the "hard part". To cut of that mongolian hat. It took my about 20 minutes per model to get those hats off. And my had was really sore afterwards.
The I just took simple green stuff and gave them Vostroyan hats.

As for the Rough rider sergeant. He too is a rough rider, sergeant to be exact. And the horse is taken from a game called Confrontation, Lions of Alahan.


So I can't really give more tutorial than that really. Looks "impressive" but it really isn't much to it. If you have other questions feel free to ask.
