I placed an order with Lost Clan Hobbies back in January thru ebay. Waited the 2 weeks and then constantly contacted the owner only to get the occasional response claiming he was getting the order out. Now in April he claims he's six weeks behind, even though I haven't got an order placed in Jan., and closing shop. I contacted him again and he claims to be getting my order out but I've never even gotten anything of proof like a shipping receipt. I'm more curious did anyone actually get an order from lostclan?

I ordered from him - but only recieved part of my order.

Maybe we should just keep spamming him.

Anybody got any better contact details for him other than email?

Never will understand ordering from random fly-by-night stores to save like 2% and have lots of problems.. Local store -> warstore -> maelstrom

Chasing deals leaves you tired and waiting from all the stories I've read on here about "discount stores"

Here is what happens.. These stores get a bulk amount of merchandise cheap via various means then theyre like "omg we should give HUGE discounts to attract more customers".. Then tons of people email them, they promise to fill orders despite not having the product (assuming they'll get more super cheap merchandise due to closeouts, etc).. The new product never comes, so they get it from a normal distributor and lose money

Then they go out of business.. *poof*

Yeah this isnt every random internet store, but Ive seen this happen at least a dozen times already

Local -> warstore -> maelstrom (if not in the US)!

lost Clan is a custom bit site has nothing about saving money.

You should not have waited so long. You should have filed with PayPal within the 45 day period.

True but I was more interested in the product than a refund but I guess I was a fool to trust that he just was being slow since it was a one man operation.

There is no way I'd let an order get so far behind without filing a dispute with paypal. When you first file the dispute you are basically just telling paypal that there is a problem and that you are trying to work it out with the seller. So you have the option of working it out with the seller before asking paypal for a refund.

If this guy has been ducking you for four months now you probably have little hope of recovery. Try filing fraud charges against the business while it's still operating would be your best bet.

Its probably too late for paypal, but try filing a complain through ebay, buyer protection may still cover you.

Oh well. I pretty much wrote it off as a lost. Shame I was really interested in the product and was curious did anyone else every get theirs more than anything.

Lost Clan is run by Thomas Sexton who originally formed part of the Pheonix Wargammerc Club set up to produce a range of Imperial Guard 'extras' such as female guard models.

Although these were great models when finally cast properly the club was beset with problems and although Thomas took on the role of continueing with these models he become somewhat renowned on various similar foums for taking months to produce models.

This was especially true for those of us in UK. I myself paid quite a lot on a second order to wait over a year with very long gaps where he would not respond to emails.

It took quite some time to track him down using his alias of 'Dark Soul' or 'Darksoul' and eventually I got things sorted but I know some didn't.

Best of luck but expect any response to take a long time and orders to take longer to fulfil.
