The Old King is dead, leaving no heirs and none deemed unaminously worthy of the throne. Many have claim, few have any true right. The Soil is on the edge of a terrible war, one not seen since The Sundering. There is a chance however, Five Men; Five lords, stand between peace and chaos. In the time before they served as councillors to the last in the line, now they bide their time in their individual keeps waiting for one to make the first move.....

OOC

Welcome to the Slayer of Kings RP! With this RP i want You to play my 'Game of thrones' . The idea is that you will deem one of my fictional lords worthy of your service, or if you so desire, stake your own claim to the Crown of Iron and Gold ! (Btw neither role is mutually exclusive )

My idea is that i control the actions of the lords (though they represent clear archetypes and will be influenced by your actions/council) and some aspects of the plot/set pieces (plus background though in this i am open to ideas ). I will try as much as i can to bring you together (or indeed set you against one another! ) and keep things moving. Though the workings of the actual nuts and bolts are still in the planning stage. Though their will be obvious classes and a random element when making combat/action decisions.

A few introductionary Points/fiction rules

This is a fantasy world of my own devising but the history of your house, lineage or grudges are up to you. Magic is restricted to it's lethal/harmful and prophetic forms but alot of artefacts still remain that a skilled warlock can still awaken, magic is also not hereditary, it is a uncontrollable mutation, nothing more. The great Supernatural beasts are dead or extinct, though imaiciated unicorns and stunted, gelded, dragons still whimper and wallow in the royal zoos.

Supernatural PC's/NPC's
Apart from those with the gift of magic all PC's/NPC's are normal humans, erring on the side of action hero naturally, no elves, no orcs, no dwarfs, no vampires, Vampyres, werewolves, lycans, wraiths or Immortals. Infact the only immortals in this universe are the (creatively named) Immortals. You may not be an Immortal.

Different races.
The Gold men are Caucasian to Arabesque in appearance with some from the Satraps in the far east being Oriental. They are the most diverse morphologically.

The Iron men are incredibly pale with Ginger/blonde hair it is said they practise eugenics. They are near without exception mentally/physically strong but slightly lacking in original thought.

The Dark skinned Aborige prefer to live in their own lands of the Cradle and were the first to call the men of The Soil the Gold or Iron men after their percieved fascintaion with money or War. They refuse to take part in the affairs of The Soil and you may not play an aborige but a half caste or orphan is perfectly acceptable though he May Not have any cultural links with Aborige. They are fast, agile and strong and tend towards wisdom rather than guile and charm.

Religion
The recognised religion of The soil is the church of the Uncaring God. Though new religions are cropping up more and more throughout The Soil.

The Immortals
The Immortals keep all the secrets of The Soil, they use their infinite lives to catalogue the deeds and evolution of the children of The Soil. It is said they were adding to their libraries even as the first Northen Aborige was born with white skin. They have grey ashen skin, completely black eyes great purple tatoos all over their bodies. The truth of their immortality is unknown.

Okay i will lay down some more concrete stuff tomorrow or the day after but until then please ask some questions/crit. Thanks for looking!
