Defiance Games

Another generic far future game, that is pretty much an excuse to sell 40k like minis. They currently have a single line for sale. They said that they were going to release a German army line, and a Alien Bug line. But, they haven't updated there site for some time. So who knows.

UAMC Infantry (24 Figures)

Which Contains:
This 28mm (1/56 scale) hard plastic box set features 12 individual frames with enough parts to build 24 Marines.

Each Marine can be outfitted with either a standard M-46 rifle, an M-46 with an underslung grenade launcher, an M-46 carbine ("Shorty") with a tactical front grip, or the formidable M-2800 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) which troops in the field refer to as the "ChainSAW" based on it's unique trigger assembly.

Also included in the set is the ability to outfit the Marines with one of 3 helmet designs and the venerable 8-point Marine cap. An assortment of packs and ammo clips complete the set.

Set includes 24 25mm round hard plastic bases.

Ok, I have been following this thread and the one previous, but now I have to ask a question -

Roughly scanning the lists above I find that non GW models that can be used in Ork or Imperial Guard armies are a dime a dozen, non GW models that can be used in Space Marine armies are almost as plentiful, and even Tyranidish and Tau like models can be found - but what about companies that have models suitable for Necron armies?

I made a thread for that:

Short answer: For alternative Necrons currently look first at Puppet's War ( http://www.puppetswar.com/category.php?id_category=42 ), for Necron bases you have a lot of other companies.

Hive Fleet Ouroboros (my Tyranid blog): http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/286852.page
The Dusk-Wraiths of Szith Morcane (my Dark Eldar blog): http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/364786.page

Thanks, I'm aware of Puppet's War, but even their selection is a bit on the 'thin' side.

For a Necron army of nonGW figures, you really have to draw from many different sources, and even then you may want to use some GW figures.

Most maker's of necronish figs, Only make a few choice speciality units. Dive into the first thread that Kroothawk posted though. I think it covers all the figs currently available. I added a few myself at the end.
