I have been thinking about starting up a small coteaz army as a side project, and have come up with a 500 point list that could take most comers (I believe) please let me know what ya think. C&C most welcome

Here is What I have so far:

Coteaz will ride in the chimera with 4 henchmen, the 5 henchmen with storm bolters will act as an anti-infantry screen, the crusaders / dca's will most likely camp a position while the razorback either acts as a shield / gun emplacement to wear down enemies that are approaching.

any way, I believe this list could perform quite well in low-point games and might transfer well to higher point games as well.

It's lots of av at a low point level which is good. Try and fit in a psyfleman dread to take out enemy transports. Maybe get rid of the 2nd chimera to start, combine the henchmen groups and find an extra ~ 40 60 points somewhere

You could also stick a couple PC servitors in Coteaz's squad to help deal with crowd control.

I am trying to make an entirely inquisitorial force as this is a side-project (I plan on having an alternative list that actually includes the psyfle dread, as well as a list that includes a dreadknight, 500 pt with a dreadknight could be MEAN!)

Yes its gay... yes its a LOT of shooting in 500 points... but come on...

@rogue, yes, its very shooty... but the big thing IMO is that... it has NO anti-horde element... which is a huge disadvantage imo, you need at least one squad for anti-horde and if you ever need that much las-cannon fire in a 500 pt game, dear god...

Obviously Rogue has the hardcore list, but I like yours OP.

I too favour servitors over jokaeros, but at this points level I think the jokaeros actually work as they bring so many tools to the table to deal with the different threats you might face (which you otherwise couldn't have with the points limit). To this end, despite the benefit of having 2 jokaeros together, I'd be tempted to split them up, one per chimera. This way you lose a stormbolter hit for horde kiting, but just think about laying down 4 flame templates from the joks and chimeras from 2 sources - it'd be game changing!

I'd have 5 or 6 DCA rather than the DCA/Crusader mix, as 3 won't get the job done and most hits against the unit will need to be distributed to the DCA (as well as the crusaders) anyway.
