Ok now we all know about all of the Chaos Demon Bombs?  How about a grey knight bomb for marines?

I know this is extremely low on models, and might just get swamped by something like orks, or Tyranids, but it should really work well against medium vehicles (10-12 AV), and it does follow the rules for escalation (all on the board or none), and its quite disgusting in hand to hand?

By the second turn I should be able to get the bikes into hand to hand, and by the third turn they should be getting assaulted by at least 1 terminator squad, and 1 grey knight squad. . .

I am sorry, I meant to post this in the Army List section, but go ahead and give your opinion on the concept if not the exact numbers?

Dear GOD, that's thin on troops. This is one of those army designs that screams "I must have a forest (or other area terrain) to hide behind, or I'm toast!" It seems like a sledgehammer wielded by an egg: sure, that first swing is gonna wreck some stuff, but the end result is mutual destruction.

Pray to whatever powers are listening for 1st turn or a good place to hide.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Illlegal. You can only take 1 Elite as allies.

I understand that Centurion the list is illegal as was explained to me by Flagg, I made a mistake by listening to the gw sites bad army list examples before buying the codex, sorry. . .

Doesn't work. The main thing about the Demon Bomb is that they can assault after being summoned (which is BS, but that's another thread). GK's and the like CAN'T do that and thus will be shot up all nice and special in the subsequent turn.

It can work that you can hope to have enough stuff down on the table so that you can assault in the following turn, but it's not going to be anywhere near as effective as the Demon Bomb.

Well, technically the Terminator portion isn't illegal, as long as he takes the brother captain from that squad as an HQ choice.

The real problem is that only one of the GK squads can drop: The other two have to be taken as troops and as such have to deploy normally.

I'll have to check, as I don't have my marine codex available, but do GKs benefit from Lysander? That might be something to think about.

Technically yes. They're terminators, and any terminators in Lysander's force get to use his ability.

However, (my friend runds a Lysanderbomb) taking GKs means you're giving up assault cannons.

Well your right you can lose 4 assault cannons but thing how it would work like this. . .

370+315
Lysander + 4 terminators with 2 assault cannons. . .
Grey Knight Brother Captain w/ Holocaust and Retinue (4x GK Terminators, 2 Psi-Cannons)

5 Grey Knight Terminators with 2 Psi-cannons, and Holocaust: 320
5 Terminators with 2 Assault Cannons: 240
5 Terminators with 2 Assault Cannons: 240

5 Scouts with a veteran sergeant and a teleport homer: 85
5 Scouts with a veteran sergeant and a teleport homer: 85

2 Land Speeder (multi-melta) 130
1 Land Speeder (multi-melta) 65
2 Land Speeder Tornado (assault cannons) 160

You could probably pull the solo Land Speeder to get points enough for a psi-cannon on the HQ, and the elite squads leader. . .

Ideas for the game, 1st turn infiltrate the scouts behind some cover, out of los, or where ever you consider appropriate. . . the objectives might be a good trick so as he moves toward you you drop your friendly terminators in his lap. . .

The multi-melta Land Speeders come in on the first turn if he has any vehicles that have an AV over 12, if not then keep them in reserve and deep strike them later to grab objectives. . . The Assault Cannon Land Speeders are to deal with any las-cannon devastator types, or other things that are a threat to a terminator if no targets keep them in reserve. . .

Other than that the tactics and strategies should be pretty simple bait and switch would see alot of use, Terminator squads with assault cannons as the bait, get them just close enough to get assaulted while keeping the Grey knights in position to counter assault the enemy. . .

I have yet to see any elite, or hq besides a Broodlord or a Demon Prince come anywhere near beating a GK terminator squad in hand to hand. . .

The Hammer

Well, it's cliche to say, but tinned rump roast works all the better!

Running allied GK Termies, hmm, I guess a Grandmaster and seven Grunts plus an LRC. Normal Termies are better on the drop thanks to the might of preserved beef. GK drop would really work best with IG, who can't get Terminators otherwise. They can also be a bit of a surprise for an opponent planning to shoot that "Basilisk" you've been rolling for since turn two...and I definitely wouldn't buy Holocaust for them. Perils of the Warp = bad.

When soldiers think, it's called routing.

Technically yes. They're terminators, and any terminators in Lysander's force get to use his ability.

Technically they're 'Grey Knight Terminators', which is different from 'Terminators'. It's the same way a 'Land Raider Crusader' is different from a 'Land Raider'. Listing one does not imply that it applies to both.

Only the Terminator Command Squad, Terminator Squad and Terminator Assault Squad consists of 'Terminators'.
