Hello. I have been in the hobby now for a couple years, but unfortunatly I am one of those people that finds it hard to paint as often as I like ( I get lazy). As an attempt to motivate myself to pain more i am starting this thread to push me along. i have several different armys worth of models all half painted and i am going to start with my necrons first.

I painted up this destroyer about a year ago.

i am still going to go with this style but i am attacking it from a different angle. in the old way i did it i used a metallic blue, gloss white, and used 'dip' to shade the parts i wanted to look bone like. this time i will be attempting to use line highlighting (the highlighting in this pic was me practicing, trying to get a idea for the whole thing, needs alot of clean up)

for now i will be working on 3 test models. one destroyer, one warrior and one immortal, in order to get a feel for the paint job.

i will be priming the models white then giving the models 2 coats of gryffon sepia, instead of the 'dip' to get the bone look on the parts i will not be painting.

ribs and casing looking parts with be dhneb stone with skull while highlights

anything armory looking like the shoulder areas, and tubing and such will be enchanted blue with a highlight color to be figured out later.

Blue and white? Not your usual Necron colours, but they look good.

after a bout with the flu i finally finished my necron warrior test model, except for the basing

while i was gearing up to continue with the necron project, GW decided to release the new Tervigon/Tyrannofex model, which destroyed all my necron motivation.

I love the colour scheme of the Necrons, it's something different from the boltgunmetal-crons
