Yes, according to an interview with The New York Times on Wednesday, the strict evangelical who believes gay people cause hurricanes and that mac 'n cheese may be a "black thing," is also for the legalization of marijuana. But it isn't because he's tried the stuff. It's a bit more complicated than that. “I really believe we should treat marijuana the way we treat beverage alcohol,” Robertson told The Times. "I’ve never used marijuana and I don’t intend to, but it’s just one of those things that I think: this war on drugs just hasn’t succeeded." This has been a talking point for Robertson for some time now.
Back in December 2010, The Atlantic's Chris Good wrote about "Pat Robertson's Christmas Present to Marijuana Legalizers', his take on a recent airing of The 700 Club where Robertson said, "We're locking up people that take a couple of puffs of marijuana, and the next thing you know they've got ten years ... it's costing us a fortune and it's ruining young people. Young people going to prisons--they go in as youths and they come out as hardened criminals, it's not a good thing." Back then Robertson's spokesman said it wasn't a call to decriminalize pot.
So, fast forward to last week on The 700 Club where Robertson, as The Atlantic's Andrew Cohen writes, "devoted nearly nine minutes of the broadcast to commentary and a (really well produced) piece on the topic." Adding, "He's also right in identifying the notion that decriminalizing pot possession is one of the easiest ways to break the cycle of incarceration that ruins people -- and government budgets." Following that broadcast, Robertson told The Times' Jesse McKinley, " I just want to be on the right side... And I think on this one, I’m on the right side."

Man has a point. In the UK it's not exactly enforced but it still sucks being treated like a criminal when there are drunk people everywhere.

He's a fairly famous American evangelist. He's about as right wing as you can get, well beyond the point of "Conservative, but rational and logical" to the point of "bat crazy".
He blamed 9/11 on homosexuals and Hurricane Katrina on America's abortion policy. He also claimed the Haitian earthquake was because Haitians all made a deal with the devil 200 years ago to free them from slavery. He also claims Planned Parenthood is actively encouraging bestiality.
He also claims God speaks to him, and told him about various dates the world was going to end (most of them have passed with no world ending).
He is one of the most hateful, despicable, evil human beings ever to live. If he had more followers, he could easily be the next Hitler.
(He also claims Scotland is "a dark land" run by homosexuals.)
He only deserves our scorn, no matter what he says. Even if you agree with him about something, it's best to still call him a scumbag.

I know he's been wrong a lot, but for the few where the world actually did end he was spot on

Ah, he's not that bad. Just because I don't agree with him doesn't make him a bad person, though I admit some of his opinions I would interpret as kind of hateful and mean.
If he can use the 700 club to convince middle America of how foolish cannabis prohibition and incarceration is, then I'd shake the man's hand.

That's far too reasonable an approach in the OT.
Dividing the world into Us and Them removes the problem of having to think deeply about things, which I suppose is desirable for some. Unfortunately, it's also the true enemy of real progress.

It makes you feel ok with being bored,XD or insanely hyper, or massively depressed depending on your mood beforhand, the atmosphere it's smoked in, the strength, how it's smoked or wether it's laced with something.
Although in long-term serious use, (as in like an ounce a week, every week for a couple of years etc.) it can lead to depressiona and extreme paranoia.

Sort of yes and no. yes in moderate amounts it doesn't as much damage to you as it is rumoured.
pot can be more expensive/cheaper (depending on amount/ability to handle it) and i have some amusing/terrible (depending on your pov) stories about first time smokers that i'm not gonna share here. the effects were worse than anything a first time drinker would have.
