Subject: What the Hell? Odd bit of news I got an e-mail about
So, my father is a tad conservative, sent me this e-mail, apparently if it is to be believed, then Obama may well be the first Illegal to make President. Now do not attack me, I said this came from My Dad who likely got it from another, but the date on youtube shows it went up March 2 2012. The bunch looking to authenticate the Pres' birth certificate was surprised by what they found and released it to the Media. As I have said before, I voted Nader, my conscience is clean, I know Nader is American, and where he stands on issues.
I will allow the footage to speak for itself, and then also allow viewers to make up their own minds as to what the hell is happening?!

Oh man, I'm in tears here. That was fantastic.

I get silly crap like this from my Dad a lot. Not sure why he thinks I am Republican, or Democrat, I am an Independent pro third party man myself. But I still get this from my Dad.
I first heard Obama speak, my thoughts were; "This guy sounds like he is trying to sell me a car."
I might have voted Republican had retired Gen. Powell ran. But Nader was it for me instead.
We all knew with Palin, McCain would feel he had married a second wife.

I thought he was trying to sell insurance.
Health insurance.
He tried that, didn't work out, wound up taking over GM for a spell, so he as a car salesman afterall.

Health insurance.
Jokes.
On a more serious note I actually liked him at first. What did we get? Among other things, a MASSIVE payout to the insurance industry in the guise of a healthcare plan. Unfortunate as he really had the oppurtunity to point the country in a different direction.

Jesus... you are in so much danger, publicizing this. I have to tell you, uncovering this fraud is the most patriotic, American thing I've ever seen, but the Alinsky-ACORN-Cyberspace-Union thugs are probably going to target you for assassination. I suggest you unplug your ethernet cable so they can't track you, and stock up on gold coins and ammunition and await further instructions.

I think he can rest easy. I'm sure he's behind, like, seven proxies, or something. They'll never be able to hack into his internet with all the firewalls he has.

Unless he created his post from cyberspace, the Ayers-SEIU brownshirts will surely track him down and make him an unperson in a FEMA work camp. Ammo, gold, hiding, that's my advice.

I learned a long time ago a few things. Philip K. Dick taught me "it's painful to live in fear"
Warhammer 40 K taught me "And we shall know no Fear!"
Serving in the Army and learning History taught me that no matter what the other guy tries to do to you...get a good lawyer and sue their a%* off if they try anything.

If I were in charge of... whoever it is that validates cantidate's eligibilty to run, I'd sue these guys for making me look incompetent. I'm 100% sure that Obama was legal to run.
Which is NOT to say I'm 100% sure that Obama is doing the right thing.
Which is not to say that I don't think the current crop Republicans will only mess things up even worse...

The birthers don't do the republicans much good if they want to get someone elected.
I don't understand why someone shouldn't be allowed to be president if they were born abroad anyway. Once you become a citizen shouldn't you be allowed the same opportunities as anyone else?

It's written into the Constitution that the president must be natural-born.
Whether that needs updating is up to individual opinion. When enough people think it needs to be changed, and care enough to tell their congresscritters (or when big business gets around to paying the congresscritters to do so) then it will come up to a vote.
I... think I'm actually in favor of allowing naturalized citizens to be president. Those born in other countries generally have a less 'take it for granted' viewpoint of our government which could be a refreshing change.
They certainly can't do any worse in government than the current crop of idiots, political idealoges, and corporate stooges that are in there now.

Because its unconstitutional. The constitution requires that.

I know it's in the constitution, I just don't see the point of it. It seems to defy the point of the US boast of being the land of opportunity. I can't see any harm that could come of allowing naturalised citizens to be president, I think it's a shame we'll never see a president Schwarzenegger

I would have pulled a Gramm (when the rags were saying he was an alien like from Mars, not Manchester) and admitted that it was fake, that he's really a secret agent from the planet Klendathu. Now that would have been funny.

Oh joy, another thread about thee worthless nutjobs who think that Obama isn't a natural born citizen and part of some weird plot to do... something... to the US (probably socialist related, even though Obama has proven that he's more right wing than the leaders of just about every other non-US country out there).

Nader was trying to sell you a car too, it was just that Nader's car was more expensive but purportedly also more environmental friendly.

I dont really care either way, but it always has looked kinda fishy to me.
Every Dakkanaught gets a 4+ Pinch of Salt save.
When you suffer a Falling Sky hit, roll a D6 - on a 4+ the hit is ignored as per the Pinch of Salt save. On a 1-3 panic insues - you automatically fail common sense tests for the next 2 weeks and get +7 to your negativity stat. -Praxiss

Well, Melissia, I do go by a track record of Nader being the man who got the E.P.A. up and running back in the day, and made it have some real potency to watch out for our air and water safety.
He is also the one that got the auto industry to make seatbelts mandatory instead of optional, again for the sake of safety, until then, they were an option only if wanted. I know at least he has done something before for the good of the people.
And he is NOT one of the "Same old, Lame Old " parties that have done nothing for the people but for the corporates.
Nader is no friend to the corporates.
Of course, he may be either lame ducked by the Old Boys Bunch, or assassinated for dismantling corporate interests.

I think you've missed where Howard was going with this. Specifically, does it make sense that this is still our process? "It's in the constitution" isn't some mandate carved in stone tables, or else we'd still have the 3/5ths rule and prohibition. I don't think anyone wants that.
