That people felt that it had to be made at all is disturbing.

They've had a big push on this in say the last year or so... Apparently rape and violence against women in hte under 25's has been on the rise unfortunately. I wish it's something I could say I've not heard about among people I know.

British. It's obviously supposed to be quite in your face, like the one's about driving safely. To shock people.

I think the point of it is that it's disturbing to be honest, I have seen similar things happen at parties and it isn't pretty.

Also this is British, the English accents gave it away.

Similar anti-rape ads would not be shown to go that far here in America. They are more done as a PSA and talk but do not show. Part of our odd culture. Some things you get to have allover the place, but do any broadcasts that the kiddies may be exposed to, and this kind of ad would be cable access only, or very late at night.

For example, Gunplay is okay, but any other thing they pan away or fade to black in most cases, next scene takes over.

Hope that posted right, first time putting a video in.

This one is good because it shows emotional abuse, which can be glossed over sometimes (unacceptably).

Does the US have a watershed time?

Damn, apparently it didn't.

Some men are rapists and that's too many. It is something that younger people need to be made aware of.

This is why all relationships need a safe word (or chicks need to learn to say "dont rape me" more often >.&gt... Granted, I dont know if that would stop it completely, but I think a large number of these situations could be stopped if the perpetrators were shocked into the realization of what they were doing, rather than assuming that "No means Yes"...

Pretty good, I thought. I always took "No" very seriously, though I encountered some women who were genuinely coy and played false, but IMO it's much better safe than sorry.

Reminded me of this, too.

Female rapists, that's unpossible.

In the belly of the whale.

It is impossible for a woman to rape a man by law, the law for rape involves the unwanted insertion of a phallus into an oraphice(sp?) IIRC.

Also, this advert is rather disturbing, but I fail to see how it will prevent any incidents of abuse... Waste of money if you ask me.

Likewise. I was told from quite a young age that anything other than 'Hell Yes!' should pretty much be considered 'no', and that includes 'Oh go on then'

These adverts need to shock. Many people would be surprised at how many women they know have been subject to some from of sexual assault if not rape. Rape being non-consensual sex. Some people seem to think you can't rape your wife or girlfriend.

Sadly, this sort of thing is really pretty common. And in certain social circles, there'd be a lot of pressure on the girl not to make a fuss about it at all.

I think teenage boys need more ads like this- in my experience, their attitudes towards women are absolutely horrendous.

I think this ad actually needs to be much more overt about this. I'm at work, so couldn't watch it with the sound on. Until the words popped up mentioning rape, I was assuming it was an PSA for condoms.

The actress should have emoted much more, and the actor should have been much more obvious he was using force (which I assume is implied through dialog). Less vague shots of two people dry humping and more shots of actual fear on her face would work wonders getting their message across.
