Hello, I'm Jon. I'm fresh to tabletop gaming in general. I only just started playing games such as D&D, Malifaux, Warmachines and now Warhammer
40k. I have found that my play style tends to lean towards a jack of all trades type roll with lots of shooting and mobility. in D&D i would play bards and paladins. In Malifaux, my team was based on the Ortegas. I played Cygnar in Warmachines and now here in warhammer
40k I'm rockin' the space marines.
I had been curious and interested in playing warhammer
40k for at least a decade. it wasn't until a friend of mine began to play and while we were out at a game store for him to get some new pieces, he bought me my first few models (Tigurius, and a Devastator squad). After that, I purchased the Black Reach box set, a set of Assault Marines, the Codex and some dice. later another friend of mine generously sold me around 6-700 points of marines and 8-900 points of orks for next to nothing.
So, now that I had an army (or two) it was time to assemble and paint. I'm still painting all the marines but the theme I have chosen for them is Blue, Black and White and have dubbed them the Chapter of the Lunar Republic after an amusing fan creation based on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. (Surprise! I'm a brony! brohoof! anypony?
