Hey im new to dakkadakka but have been playing imperial guard for about 3 years. my name is luke and i live in scotland. the most thing i like in the imperial guard army is valkyries and stormtroopers. i also like leman russ' and commissar yarrick, i always get lucky when playing my bro when i get my commissar back to life (dakkadakka name is anton). is there any way of improving my army.

A lot more standard guardsmen is what I would suggest.
A IG army is usually based around bodies and rapid fire.

I would suggest organizing your Guardsmen into Infantry Platoons, with some mixed Heavy Weapons teams, and maybe a Conscript squad.

First, welcome to Dakka.
Second, if you would like advice on list building, there is a forum called army lists which is specifically for that purpose. I have used it myself and the people here have been very helpful.
