Isstivaan IV

As the traitor legions arrived at the Isstivaan system to cull their loyal brothers, dissent spread. Many marines had no wish to murder their brothers and so the warmaster convened council. the astartes met. As sons as the loyal troops were sent down to the planet, the killing started.

Brother-Captain Mortin watched in horror form the veiwport, his ship, the strike cruiser Claw of Night was in high orbit above the world. suddenly, ships began lashing out at others, even those form the same legion. the Nostroman saw one ship, Drops of Jupiter, a mighty battle-barge of the Sons of Horus shake apart as lance blasts from the Terminus Est disembowled the noble vessle.

Hearing shouts, the Night Lord knew that his crew and passengers had seen what was happening. He had been bringing a mixed force of all the chapters at the behest of Konrad Curze, as these warriors had been with the Night Lords when they had subjugated the world of Welfallan. they had traveled months and now this...this chaos was breaking out.

It was to Mortin's suprise when a voice came up form behind. it was smug. it was gloating. it was Jarren's

The warrior of the Alpha Legion grinned. "Mortin. It seems that my little deception has come to an end. Die now, in vain."

"Wait!" exclamed the night lord. "What is this madness?"

Jarren drew his chainsword. "It is for the better." he said, and charged.

Mortin drew his on weapon, a power sword named Venetor, it had spilt the blood of aliens for almost two hundred years.

Sweeping the blade through the air, he parryed the blow from the Alpha Legionarre.

"You forget, Jarren, I always was a match for you."

"that was then. This is now." hissed the traitor.

"I must know though." insisted Mortin. "Why?"

"It. Was. Decreed." grunted the tratir.

Their blades met.

Jarren's blows were like that of his legion, feints. while mortin's blows were brutal and unyeldeing yet fluid. like his legion.

sparks flew, teeth jumped their tracks.

As Mortin parried another blow, he swung at Jarren's head. the blow was met with steel.

Mortin drew back for another strike.

"Ah." hissed the other space marine. "You forget our method of warfare. you think this is a duel. it is not." in one swift motion, Jarren's bolt pistol was out of it's holster and primed to fire.

It never came.

Jarren slumped and gasped, struggling for air. blood trickled down his cheek.

the Alpha Legionnare's corpse crahsed to the ground ot reveal the form of Mortin's friend and first confidence, Captian Demogorgon of the 27th company. the Terran Night Lord drew his blade from the body's neck. alongside the other man stood a tall and imposing figure, the noble form af Barbhu, the Death Guard's Castellan.

"My lord, something is happening. Brothers are-"

Demogorgon was interrupted by Mortin. "I know, Its horus." he pointed out the porthole where the warmaster's flagship was spewign an astonishing amounto fo fire into space.

Let us gather any still loyal to the emperor. Getting word to the other legions is paramount."

Well, I've put up a few RPs in my time. here is my first non humor 40k one. you can be of any legion, turning to chaos is allowed and is more likely to get your character out of this alive, most loyal troops will die glorious deaths but are remembered as heroes. chaos warriors live and are hated...
