I'm new to the 40K and it looks like something I want to get into. I've got the cash to get started but don't know anyone that plays it. I would like to see it played in RL instead of Youtube, before I go full force with this new hobby. Is there anyone around Kokomo, Indiana (north of indy) that I can get in touch with?

Welcome to Dakka. I think on Games Workshop's website they have a feature that helps you find a hobby center near you. When in doubt, ask at your local comics store. Hope this helps.

Hey! I live in Elkhart IN just South of Michigan. It's not terribly far away. My friend and I play at a FLGS in South Bend. The name of it is Fantasy Games South Bend. They have leagues all the time usually 2 different ones going on at the same time. It's a bit of a drive, but at least it's an option. You can always check out their website too.

Welcome to Dakka Dakka and welcome to a hobby more expensive then crack! Best thing i can say for 40k is that the battalion boxes are terrible. Find an army you like. Find the way you want to run your army and then buy the models. Trust me I have done it twice already and bought the battalion boxes and i can say i only used 1/3 to 1/2 of it in a real game.
