[b] Hi All Just Joined here after casually browsing the forums for the past month. I started my War gaming back in 1991 with an old GW game called Man O' War, (correct me if I'm wrong about the release year). From there after spending lots of time at my FLGS I quickly fell in love with 40k, and proceeded to build an Eldar army. A lot has changed since way back then, I've either lost or sold all of my original Eldar with the exception of Jain-Zar, and an old Eldar dreadnought I converted after I found an old lead spirit walker head. I had a blast converting him, gave his right arm the original Commissar Yarrik's claw in place of his hand, added a new (at the time) Space Marine Jump Pack, and glued Yarrik's banner pole to the back of the jump pack. Well some years went by and my sons showed some interest in the game and I painted up an Orc & Necron army for them to get into the hobby with. Currently I have a mass of mostly unpainted 1st edition Necrons, A fair amount of Tau, but since my sons quit playing 40k I had lost interest in finishing the mostly unpainted Tau & Necrons. Then last December while doing a commission Inquisitor conversion & paint job for a friend I found a batch of Guardians I had tucked away as well as an Eldar Vyper jetbike. Before I knew it I was thinking up paint themes, assembling the guardians, and working on the vyper, as well as trying to fix & upgrade a Falcon Grav tank I found at the flea market for $1.00. Now I have a Wraithseer I'm working on, 2 Wasp War Walkers, and a Shadow Specters Phoenix lord on the way, as well as a few single minis, magnets, 4 warlocks, & Greenstuff coming from ebay. Just waiting for my Paypal money to finish transferring and I'll be adding a Wraithlord, a squad of Dire Avengers, and a Farseer I want to convert. I also have an Inquisitor Chaos Space Marine I've been working on for almost 8 years now I just need to cut free a right hand power fist, get some red ink for a nice glaze (and shading), and some Greenstuff to mold his World Eaters left shoulder pad, & I'll post pics as soon as he's done. So I'm thrilled to be back at the hobby I love so much (even if there aren't a lot of players in my town), and I'm really glad to have joined DAKKA DAKKA as along with finding the few Eldar that got me going again, you all have given me a lot of inspiration from conversions, and some simply stunning paint jobs I've seen shown here. So Thanks to everyone here for all the inspiration and Hopefully as my army starts to take shape again I can post some of my work for you all to see, and give me suggestions and advice. CHEERS!!!!
