Long time lurker finally coming out into the light. Friend of mine signed up here recent;y so I thought it was the perfect time to de-lurk myself.

Here follows the obligatory "this is my wargaming life"

I started gaming in the early 90's though I cannot really remember what year precisely. I was one of those annoying kids that spent way too much time in the GW(now I'm considered one of the dinosaurs). I started out with Fantasy and the, back then, general Undead. I moved on with Vampire Counts after that with Dark Elves soon following. I actually wanted to start DE at first but they were pretty much like Dark Eldar at the time, not even sold in the GW store for some time, so Undead was my actual start. DE came a few months later after they were updated(the one with 80's disco hair Witch Elves). Skaven followed soon after DE and I still play these three armies to this day.

40K came a couple of years later and instead of going with Marines I immediately dove straight into Dark Eldar, which everybody advised against as it was a hard army to play with, but I did surprisingly well. My second army were World Eaters but after some time I switched over to Emperor's Children as I liked the fluff a lot better.

Little warning beforehand; I'm a fluff lover to the point that I prefer a fluffy build over a tactical one. Just so you know...

MY DE were sent to the proverbial fridge a few years after as they didn't receive any update for so long I thought they had gone to the mystical place squats seem to live(in a Tyranids belly or something). When the new CSM dex came out my EC were hardly playable anymore as I had a fully converted army with noise weapons (noise Dread and all) and I was too tired to redo it all. I'm not a fast painter as I'm a perfectionist and redoing a fully painted and converted army because the dex changed kind of...angered me.
So I looked towards what else I could do and my love for the Mechanicus fried my brains logic circuits. I started off with Iron Hands and converted some stuff as AdMechy(no that's not a word) units. I am still working on that army as we speak but as a lot of it is converted and uses non-GW models so there's no way I could bring it to a tournament and I so longed for tournament play again.
It wasn't just the non-tournament legal models that worked against me but also the play-style. For some reason Marines are just not my thing and lo and behold I finally restarted my DE after years of them having been stuffed in numerous boxes. I didn't have the cash to start another new army until recently so when I did I bought a DE battalion box and a few other goodies. Really happy I made that decision!

Other stuff I play or at least used to play;
Battlefleet Gothic AdMech, Epic Armageddon Marines(Iron Hands), old Epic AdMech(old Titans and Knights used in Armageddon with AdMech fanlist), Warmaster Dark Elves, Necromunda and Dark Future(anyone remembers that? It was sort of like Mad Max in 40K). Edit - forgot Inquisitor!

So anything else...nah that's enough I think. Oh yeah the avatar was my Great Dane named Isis. Still makes me smile when I look at it so that's why I picked her as my avatar.

Edited for spelling geez.
