Shas'el BC,PR,MT,DC- 2 gun drones
Crisis team: BC,MP,MT x2
Crisis team 2: Deathrain w/ flamer x 2
FW x6
FW x6
Broadside: TA and 2 gun drones (I put gundrones just for 2 extra wounds instead of shield drones because 2 are cheaper compared to just 1 and an invul save)
Now I would like the dakka community to also give me their lists! Suggestions on changes are all welcome.

That's 22 points over 500, with the Broadside having to be a teamleader to be able to take gun drones.
Otherwise, I think it might be quite worth a try, though the low range of the BC will make it difficult to use all the terrain to best effect on such a low points value, depending on what you play against.

"We train young men to drop fire on people, but their commanders won't allow them to write "feth" on their airplanes because it's obscene!" (Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now)
And you know what's funny? "feth" is actually censored on a forum about a dystopia where the nice guys are the ones who kill only millions of innocents, not billions. |

Oh forgot the broad can't get wargear. Just arm him with the DC.
Regarding the BC spam, It's the equivalence to a heavy bolter and what I would do is take one FW squad and the firestorms and shas'el would baby sit them whilst they are stealing.
Also, made a fun list hehe
Shas'el Fireknife w/ TA HW-MT
2 squads of fire warriors (6) w/ shas'ui bonding knifes
1 hammerhead w/ burst cannons and DP
Gun drone squad (6)
Meant to camp objectives.

If your going to run a shas'el give him a targeting array, that way he's hitting on 2's. Throw in the cib over the plasma too, 5 shots is better than 1 at a 500pt. game, plus rendng. More of a shield drone fan myself, but at that point level you really can't fit them in. Everything else looks good to me. Best of luck!!

If you've no FoC restrictions, then spam FireStorms, not "BC"s specifically.
Shas'el, TA + FireStorm BC/MP, hwMT
Pair XV8s - Team Leader w/Target Array & buddy
Monat FireStorm
Pair of FSs
6 FWs 'Ui & BK
7 kroot (or two FW units, whichever)
495 in points.
That 6 XV8s on a large field, quite empty of models. Enemies have a tough time hunting 'em down, while its a sick amount of fire power at a low level game.

You would have to take the FW squad, Smallest kroot squad allowed is 10.

One thing to point out with Broadsides and Gun Drones for extra wounds - If you lose both gun drones and fail the moral check, that Broadside is running forever. And without an A.S.S., he can't fire again. So you'd need to make him a Team Leader and give him a bonding knife. Same with the Shas'el.
Drop the gun drones on the shas'el, and switch the Gun Drone to a shield drone, and drop them in cover - Gives you an extra wound which has a 2+/4+, and it can't cause the Broadside to fall back forever. You might be lacking a bit in anti-horde, but the BC spam should help.

Here is my list, I had it written down somewhere...and lost it so I tried to rewrite it as best I could. I got the idea from http://tauofwar.blogspot.com/ with my little twist because there was a thread on here stating that the best suit configuration was the bladestorm if I can find it I'll post a link.
HQ: Shas' El Deathrain, TL MP, Flamer, MT: 77
Elites: 2 Bladestorms, BC, PR, MT: 116
Troops: 10 Kroot: 70
Troops: 8 FW's, Devilfish, DP: 165
Fast attack: Piranha, FB, TA: 70
Total : 498
Not to shabby I think, plenty of dakka and it still has scoring and contesting capability.

Are you certain about the A.s.s. allowing him to shoot if he's retreating? I just went through the Slow & Purposeful, Relentless and Fall Back rules.
Huh.
Anyway, there's another item to consider: Two GDs make the unit's Majority Toughness 3. Dat's bad. I'd rather pay points for SDs, and gain T4, 2+/4++.

S&P grants Relentless. Falling back is movement, so you would fire as if you'd moved. Relentless lets you count as if you were stationary, even though you moved. So he can fire as if he was stationary. At least that's how I see it. Although he's still going to run off the table, and relatively quickly, as he's probably quite near the board edge.

So, izzat a d6 retreat or 2d6?
Care to weigh in on this in YMDC?
