Good evening team!
Got together some friends to start a mini-league for WH40K. 1st game will probably be a 3-way squash-match between chaos, necrons, and my SM.
This match will be the catalyst that sets our armies at odds, and hopefully it will develop into a full campaign, complete with battle reps, pics, and the like. so keep your ear to the ground if you're interested.
The list, as it so stands, is pretty straightforward:
1000 points even (+ or - a meltabomb upgrade)
HQ:
-Counts as Chaplain Cassius.
--This guy is here because he's freaking mustard, and he's a bargain-- Tough, deadly, and a pretty nasty comb-flamer with hellfire shells (wounding on a 2+ IIRC). And I loathe Librarians, and psychic abilities in general honestly, so I won't be fielding one.
Whoa, no Elites. I know. I didn't even realize that until now. crazy.
Troops:
-10 man tactical squad:
--sgt will have PF
--flamer
--M/M
--rhino
Pretty straightforward, they go where they're needed.
-10 man tactical squad (combat squad-ed):
--sgt will have PF
--meltagun
--Lascannon.
--Razorback (HB)
The PFSgt will ride with the meltagun and Cassius-guy in the Razorback. So I'll have Chaplain Cassius, a combi-flame, a melta gun, and a PF jumping out of this thing.
The Lascannon and other 4 guys will camp the first backfield objective (or cover, if we play annihilation) they find and throw fire down field all day.
Fast
-Landspeeder with MM/HF
-Landspeeder with MM/HF
Heavy
-Vindicator
--HK missile
-Vindicator
--HK missile
The HK's are there to get a shot off before the Vindi's get in range. And because I had 20 points lol.
Simple strategy: Two flanks. 1 flank will have the rhino-mounted tactical squad accompanying a vindi and LS. The other LS and Vindi will accompany the razorback-mounted "Cassius and friends" while the Lascannon combat squad cover from backfield.
Hoping to bring the fight to the enemy quickly, head home early.
Thoughts, questions, criticisms, etc etc are ALL welcome. Just please don't recommend that I take a Libby, cause I won't lol. Thanks Dakkites!
