So my friend has been playing Chaos and has seemed to have trouble getting a really good but fun list rolling. We're playing a huge match this Sunday and I'd like for him to be able to bring something strong. For his 1000 point list last game he brought something like this:

Chaos Lord with Jetpack Daemon weapon combimelta
Daemon Prince with Wings + Warp time

10 man Chaos Marines squad with lascannon and plasma gun?
7 Khorne Berzerkers (In a Rhino, may have been a champion)

5 Raptors with Flamer and Melta gun
5 Raptors with Flamer and Melta gun

Obliterator (Maybe there was two?)

If the points seem slightly off that's probably because I'm forgetting something minor but that should not be too far off. It just seems like he wasn't able to bring much. He likes Khorne and wants to keep mostly to that idea, so no 1k, Plague, or Noise if possible. Any help on fixing this list and building it to 1500 would be helpful.

I'm not a fan of people who post "UH give me a good list" style posts but I was hoping to get some themed help based around the idea of the army above. Thanks

Thoughts based on the list :

- Get the CSM a rhino.
- I like the Chaos lord. DP is good. DLC is better. I'd advise DLC + meltabombs + combi melta.
- I dislike the DP. Get him either MoS + Lash or just wings
- Raptors : I like them, but they are not worth their points usually. If you go 2 squads, get one with 2 flamers the other with 2 Melts. Drop first one near infantry, the other one near a vehicule. You get my drift.
- If you have terminators and you want to win, change raptors for termicides (3 termis /w combi weapons). For cheaper than raptors, give them LCs
- Max out the oblis (they go very well with lash princes)

Yeah I think he has 2 obliterators but might get more. They seem pretty expensive but have proven to be really good. I am going to try to talk him into getting a Vindicator too as I think they're pretty good. I didn't like Warp Time myself but what about Doom Bolt? It seems pretty good for only 10 points.

Also, this confused me:

What is the first DP supposed to mean? and what is DLC?
