I posted a similar list a while back. As I said I've learned a bit since then, but still am a little challenged budget wise. Anyways here is my new list for a tournament thats coming up pretty soon.
HQ-
Imotekh- 225 pts.
-Royal court-
Harbringer of Eternity w. chronometron- 40 pts.
Harbringer of Destruction- 35 pts.
Trazyn the Infinite- 175 pts.
-Royal Court-
-Harbringer of Despair w. Veil of Darkness-60 pts.
-Lord w. Warscythe, Mindshackle Scarabs, Ressurection Orb-95 pts.
-Harbringer of Destruction- 35 pts.
Troops-
20 Warriors- 260 pts.
5 Immortals- 85 pts.
Elites-
5 Lychguard w. Hyperphase Swords and Dispersion Shields- 225 pts.
C’tan Shard w. Transdimmensional Thunderbolt, Gaze of Death- 280 pts.
Fast Attack-
2 Heavy Destroyers-120 pts.
4 Canoptek Scarab Swarms-60 pts.
Heavy Support-
Doomsday Ark- 175 pts.
Monolith- 200 pts.
As you may notice it's not very good, but It's suprised me with it's capabilities.
So my plan is to do the basic Imotekh warrior blob strategy, with Imotekh going in with the warriors along with the Lord and Harbinger of Eternity. Basic Lightning re-roll shenanigans.
I personally love Trazyn despite public opinion. I find that he is wonderful in the sense that he never dies, and is scoring. I put him in with the Lychguard and Harbinger of Despair. They cause havoc, and maybe even Veil of Darkness off for an objective.
The Immortals stay in back with the Lance-teks, sit on objectives, and shoot vehicles.
The C'tan I decided to run as an homage to the old nightbringer with Thunderbolt and Gaze of Death. He generally stays back with the army, and defends against deathstar units.
The Heavy Destroyers are just a little extra firepower. They honestly don't live that long, but they have their uses.
Scarab Swarms do the same schtick as the destroyers. Weaken a vehicle or two if I'm lucky, but overall just a suicide unit.
Doomsday Ark- Though it's effectiveness is somewhat hindered by nightfighting, I have the model, and I'm using it.
Monolith is in a similar position of the Doomsday ark.
