any other comments on this list... it seems to either have no hope or is awesome (i hope it is the latter but looking at sheer amount of anti tank weaponary there is in those lists i doubt it is the latter of the two options)
Smaller units have served me better in my games so far, i still lose to quick combat armies in small battles (death company) and a good number of in your face style lists due to my armies inability to sit far enough back... and be effective. when i had my units in bigger blocks i would lose large chunks in 1 round of combat for example (you can never run fast enough on small narrow tables (we were only playing small games and therefore limited to space in store). this is because it ain't easy to pass a leadership test when you lose by 8 or so in a combat.
Plus whats the difference from rolling 5 dice twice compared to rolling 10 dice? apart from seeing your opponents face when he tries to work out how 10 shots hit 12- 15 times... or more
that and last game i played i only passed one reanimation (a single warrior for anyone interested... not one of the 6 rolls made for immortals, 1 roll for Mr. Stromy roll out of the 10 or so other rolls on the warriors i was made to take)... so i would never truly care about making bigger units just to make them more "survivable".
So yeah so far i have preferred smaller units, I can always concentrate my fire, the same cannot be said for the person trying to gun down the 3 units of scarabs... he... he... he
hmmm maybe i will try 2 triarch stalkers at 1500... not sure what to move out of the 1500 list tho :(
