Imotekh - love this guy, has almost made his points back in small games... cannot wait to see what he does in bigger games
overlord with phase shifter, mind shackle scarbs, warscythe - i have tried obyron and he just dies as soon as anyone mentions power weapons :( hopefully this guy can live longer

Elites
Lychguard with shields - not tried these guys out yet
C'Tan - Times Arrow, Gaze of death - apparently has worked well for a long time necron player i know

Troops
Immortals - 5 with tesla - awesome troops.. just awesome
Immortals - 5 with tesla
Warriors - 10 - bodies, i would prefer more immortals i just don't have the money right now
Warriors - 10

Fast attack
Scarabs - 4 - mmm tanks
Scarabs - 4
Scarabs - 4

1495 - why is every necron list i write 5 points shy... why???

250 points extra

Triarch stalker with heat ray - model looks cool and i could do with ranged anti-tank...
Annihilation Barge - mmm tesla

I think 3 x 4 scarabs would be better as 2 x 6, that'll give them more survivability. I'm also not sure how 2 x 5 Teslamortals would work, you're only rolling 5 dice per squad and they'll run into survivability issues

any other comments on this list... it seems to either have no hope or is awesome (i hope it is the latter but looking at sheer amount of anti tank weaponary there is in those lists i doubt it is the latter of the two options)

Smaller units have served me better in my games so far, i still lose to quick combat armies in small battles (death company) and a good number of in your face style lists due to my armies inability to sit far enough back... and be effective. when i had my units in bigger blocks i would lose large chunks in 1 round of combat for example (you can never run fast enough on small narrow tables (we were only playing small games and therefore limited to space in store). this is because it ain't easy to pass a leadership test when you lose by 8 or so in a combat.

Plus whats the difference from rolling 5 dice twice compared to rolling 10 dice? apart from seeing your opponents face when he tries to work out how 10 shots hit 12- 15 times... or more

that and last game i played i only passed one reanimation (a single warrior for anyone interested... not one of the 6 rolls made for immortals, 1 roll for Mr. Stromy roll out of the 10 or so other rolls on the warriors i was made to take)... so i would never truly care about making bigger units just to make them more "survivable".

So yeah so far i have preferred smaller units, I can always concentrate my fire, the same cannot be said for the person trying to gun down the 3 units of scarabs... he... he... he

hmmm maybe i will try 2 triarch stalkers at 1500... not sure what to move out of the 1500 list tho :(

Imotekh with no Chrono-tek?
For shame.

A Phaeron in the army and no obvious choices to benefit from it?
Might want to reconsider that.

Time's Arrow and no Whip Coil Wraiths?
I'm assuming no one told you about the combo, then.

4 Scarab basses per unit?
a.k.a. "bite sized"...

One vehicle?
a.k.a. "melta magnet"...

units of 10 Warriors and 5 Immortals?
Unless you like getting swept in combat, you should probably switch those numbers the other way around.

Lychguard but no ResOrb Lord?
Huh, I guess you didn't really need them sticking around that badly.

point 1)... did not read that part of the FAQ... would have helped in half my battles where the storms blew over turn 2... it would also by the sounds of it allow me to re-roll one of the lightning strike rolls too... and pretty damn cheap too

Point 2).. what unit would you recommend for a phaeron...

point 3)... i was in the school of thought that characteristic tests like initiative were done on the stat-line in the profile not with any modifiers

point 4)... and in 3 completely separate starting places(well 3 different pieces of terrain) and with their speed i can always group them together, as they are fearless i don't have to worry about running away due to a base being vaporised by a lascannon

point 5).. 0 vehicles at 1500, 2 vehicles at 1750... but yeah pretty poor... probs best to stick to the easier to transport infantry army... i have to get these armies onto a bicycle afterall

point 6)... need to think about that one still might keep my immortals split though, i do prefer being able to split their fire up

point 7)... never used the guard before... and res orbs have so far failed me... i roll more 3s on them than space marines do when making armour saves...

1 crazy idea which most likey will never make it to a list due to being highly evil... and points hungry is 5 lords with mind shackle scarabs (and probably warsythes and phase shifters)

Do yourself a favor: look up "Royal Court Disco Inferno"

S&B lychguard? tick. No way to get them into battle quickly? Fail. Try DespairTek with VoD

If you are walking them, get wraiths instead. I understand you have filled you FA slots, but 4 base scarab units...hmmmm. Understand your logic, I'd just have 2 X 5 bases and the wraiths.
