I will be playing a game vs SW next week. He's sort of the beginner so I want to atleast *handicap* myself

Very defensive list here, although I think my opponent will bring rhinos + grey hunters

Lascannon spam on this end haha. Now i have 2 units to capture objs instead of just 1. Not much numbers but I think it could work.
Opinions please

I recommend that you choose a rhino over the razor back so that you can kit out more units. I personaly prefer footslogging my men instead of using a rhino and that way they are even more strong!
I run a fluffly army btw XD

Couple of nice lists but with the second ditch the storm bolter and give the sergent a combimelta

If he's new the first list seems better as Scout snipers are a handicap. Especially since they don't have cloaks. If you can maybe play them against each other and have the 'loser' fight your friend?

My scouts are the mvp in my bigger games haha. Late capturing of objs (outflank reserve rolls!) and sniperrs for pinning purposes.
I'll ask my other friend to fight against my lists.

I think the 1st one is good as a special handicap but I do have the assault squad. List 2 is a bit overkill perhaps? You rarely see predators in a 500 point game

Yeah the predator is a bit much at 500.

I think if I did a 500 point list of SM, it would be all bikes (this is a tough point cost to wrap one's head around).

I think you've done a good job making "reasonable" lists
