Ok, I'm new to necrons (and pretty new to 40k in general), but I've put together this thing. Please feel free to tell me precisely how much my list sucks.

HQ

1x Overlord (warscythe, mindshackle, phase shifter)
2x Eternity Cryptek
1x Transmog Cryptek (seismic crucible)
1x Destruction Cryptek (gaze of flame)

Elites

5x Lychguard (sword/ shield)

1x Stalker

Troops

20x warrior
1x lord (res orb)

10x immortals (tesla)
1x lord (res orb)

Fast Attack

6x scarab
6x scarab

Heavy Assault

Annihilation Barge

Total = 1500

Tear it apart, guys.

Its not utterly terrible.

Your main problem is your point sink with your royal court. 2 lords and 4 crypteks is a bit much. I would also split the warrior and imortal squads into at least 2 seperate ones.

The best thing about Necrons is our fast attack slots, specifically wraiths and scarabs. You dont have any wraiths and you are coming in with 2 half strength scarab swarms. I would really take a look at your fast attack options and fill em up.

Also get a CCB for your overlord its basically mandatory.

Ulthwé Eldar 3,211 pts
Necrons 10,001 pts W:18 T:1 L:1
Kabal of the Flayed Skull Dark Eldar 2,552 pts W:3 T:1 L:0
Hivefleet Nivalis Tyranids 2500 pts

Ok thanks, I'll see what I can do with that.
One question though: I was putting the warriors and immortals in big squads to get the most use out of the res orbs. Why is splitting them up a better option? (Like I said, I'm new at this, so I apologise if it should be obvious).

You're right about big group for the orbs because the orbs are only worth their points like that, but the problem with a 20 man warrior squad is that they don't do well in CC and as soon as they are engaged they cant shoot which is what you want them doing. It is just a huge target. Where if you drop the lords with orbs and split the squad up then even if one is getting assaulted you can still be shooting.

Any kind of Objectives game all your opponent would have to do is focus for a turn or 2 on your 2 squads and then the lion's share of your force is not working as intended.

Thanks very much. That makes a lot of sense. I'll see what changes I can come up with.

Ok, here's the new version. Not sure if I've cut the right things from the Court, or even if I've cut enough in general. Also not sure how I should split the Fast Attack options, but here goes anyway:

HQ

1x Overlord (warscythe, mindshackle, phase shifter)
1x CCB

1x Transmog Cryptek (seismic crucible)
1x Destruction Cryptek (gaze of flame)

Elites

5x Lychguard (sword/ shield)
1x Stalker

Troops

10x warrior
10x warrior
5x immortals (tesla)
5x immortals (tesla)

Fast Attack

10x scarab
3x wraith (whip coils)
3x wraith (whip coils)

Heavy Assault

Annihilation Barge

Total = 1500

Getting better, but combine those Immortals into one group. Attach that Gaze of Flame Harbinger of Destruction to their squad for a very tough objective taking unit (though, he should probably be carrying a Solar Pulse, too, so your army will have some protection from long range weaponry).
The Wraiths should combine, too, as only three per unit will see them easily wiped. (though, don't give all of them Whip Coils. in that case, three should suffice).

Also, the Stalker seems out of place in this army (he helps twin-linking... but you've got more assault than shooting).
Consider dropping it to use its points on something that will better assist your army.

this list comes out to 1580 before i even give wraiths any whip coils, so for one its too many points.

Also, where are the crypteks going? They can't both go with the lychguards if thats your plan.

What is your plan for the lychguard anyway? What do you want them to do for you?
