Hi all.
Im buying from a friend a little necron army. Im a new plyer with necrons and i ned your help to build a force. The minis are:
88 warriors
10 immortals
2 wraiths
22 scarabs
1 lord


2 lords destroiers
2 tomb spiders
1 deceiver
1 nightbringer
2 monoliths

2 heavy destroyers
11 destroyers

Play around with a few builds and see what you like. Or read some battlereports.... Since youre new; I wouldnt advise buying/selling anything till 6th ed drops.

Looks like a solid phalanx style list from the old codex. Too many warriors to honestly be useful. Two wraiths really don't do jack and I'm not a fan of them at all. Too many scarabs as well. 10-12 bases is usually more than enough. Lord is good.

Junk. Sell them.

2 tomb spiders

Eh, why not. Keep them around if you like them.

1 deceiver
1 nightbringer
2 monoliths

Junk. Sell them

2 heavy destroyers

They're okay in singles or doubles if you aren't using the FA slot for other stuff. Keep them around for the heck of it.

As AngrySuig said, you really need vehicles and to revamp the models you have. A Necron list from the old codex will not work under the new one. With that many warriors, you might as well go for an 'Iron Curtain' style list with ghost arks to back them up.

What kind of list are you going for? What models do you like (and for the love of god don't say Lychguard or Wraiths or I'm leaving this thread ).

I suggest that you keep the deceiver and nightbringer just in case you want to do a specialised list.

We don't know exactly what changes 6th ed. could be bringing. If Preferred Enemy does indeed get changed to include shooting, he may have the makings of a VERY good Destroyer Wing army.

Re-rolls for two shots at S5 AP3 and already BS4.....meh. Marines will still stick to cover when not in transports so going from a 3+ to a 4+ is nothing special. FA is one of the few places that you can get AT that doesn't cost a ton of points (Scarabs / Heavy Destroyers)

Why the heck would you ever take destroyers (anti-infantry) when the rest of the army already kill infantry very well and you'll be dealing with the 4+ save with them anyway? Even if preferred enemy does work for shooting in the next edition, destroyers still won't be all that worth it (just make them more of a target for the enemy).

Destroyers have their place and while not for every list, they can be used to great effect. They kill MEQ, which is good any way you slice it, and Heavy Destroyers plus tank hunters is brutal IMO. Plus, they can kill monstrous creatures from afar, before they rape your troops/vehicles.

So do Warriors and Immortals.

Plus instant death on T4 models. There are still people that like fielding Draigowing and large groups of Nobz/Nob BIkers for some off reason. DestrucTeks can't do the job all by themselves!
