Naw dude, check my math, those dudes have 5 combi-meltas. What I was intending is for them to drop in and pop the Landraider or kill the Tyrant, etc.

Well the reason I took the
MLs is to balance out the list for anti-swarm, yeah I could see replacing the
MLs with flamers, but that list is packed full of anti-armor already.
3rd, i don't find ven. to be worth it in normal marine armies, so i'd drop it down to a reg. dread to have the 60 pts it would cost to put MM on your speeders.
I've actually gotten ridiculous mileage from ven,
imo it makes the dread so resilient.
4th. I have never had too much luck with the predator, but YMMV. With the way 5th has been progressing, i've found a resurgence in the usefulness of the oft overlooked Whirlwind. The amount of times i've been able to blast light infantry off of objectives with these things is gross, Esp. when fighting armies that go to ground on objectives in combination with some form of Stealth to make them hard to shake. Also with dreads, vindicators, heck even missiles from the speeders, the role that that particular layout of predator would serve is already served, with redundancies even.
I've thought long and hard (bow chicka bow wow) about the Whirlwind, but then I thought about my local group and we only have one piece of terrain that blocks
los. Well, the reason I'm taking the Destructor is for xenos heavy infantry like 'Ard Boys and Tyranid Warriors, taking the Whirlwind just for the ignore cover and for the same price. That point is definitely be heard.
