Well I got some extra heads I ordered before getting my steel warriors. I was too excited to not at least mock up a quick head in the scheme I'm planning on. I want a much more sci-fi look vs metal clad fantasy looking guys. Here's what I got so far and weather you like it or not they are fun to paint and I'm much more excited about the range. I've always wanted to make and army with a gray and orange scheme that worked and think I'll finally try it out on these guys.

Absolutely love the helmets for the ForgeFathers.
Definitely like the colors you chose.

Thanks man I wanted it to be more urban and less fantasy looking. The helmets are so cool, I'm going to try to find a way to make the all have helmets. I don't love the mantic face.beard sculpts without the helmets.

I think if you darken the metal of the helmet the gold(?) will really pop!
I myself am not a big fan of the beard faces as well.
There should be enough helmets in a box set of Steelwarriors to cover all of the models...

Yeah I guess the silver doesn't really stand out. I'll have to play around with darker silvers and maybe gold.

Looks really great, it looks like you have put more effort into the head then I have put into the entire model!

Really nice colour scheme, the line going through I think really makes it look more futuristic.

Thanks it only looks that way because I have nothing else to paint(not including all the 40k I'm putting off). I went trough last night and painted the first coat of gray on ten helmets. It's kind of sad I'll probably finish the helmets today and have no bodies to put them on

Oh thats a grey on the majority of the helmet? Man my eyes must be getting bad, I though that was all silver

No it's grey. I like grey and orange together just been trying to find an army to make it work on

Here is a really fast paint up of the head with the torso now that they came in the mail. I have a good amount of cleaning up to do but I tried to highlight to the point to get the general look across. I cut the part that is supposed to be beard down until it was flat and tried to paint it like more armor plating. Hopefully the pictures are good enough quality i need a new camera.

I hope different in a good way. I still need to play with the colors a little to keep it urban looking but get more contrast into the model.
