Attention all! There will be a 1500 point Warhammer 40,000 tournament at Renaissance Games in Fallston MD on April the 29th at <st1:time minute="0" hour="12">12PM</st1:time>. The event can hold up to 12 players and runs from <st1:time minute="0" hour="12">noon</st1:time> till closing time. (Though will most likely not last that long)
What each player needs: Every player will need to pay a $10 entry fee, have two copies of a written or typed army list, dice, templates, tape measure, and rules in addition to an as modeled army. Your army does not have to be painted.
Pairing System: The tournament will last for 3 rounds. Player during the first round will be paired randomly. After the first round, players will be paired up against other players with battle points (explained later) near equal to theirs; this is also known as ?swiss pairing?.
The tables: Each table will be themed a different way and have 25 - 35% terrain. The terrain cannot be moved.
In the center of each table is a very large D6. Players may use these D6?s as turn counters and objective tokens. They are also used to number the table, so players should place them back in the center for the table with the appropriate number showing when their game is finished.
Lastly, each table will have a cheat sheet containing all the information about the terrain on that table.
Players should be courteous about terrain. Refrain from damaging, moving, or mistreating terrain in any way.
Missions: Before each round, each pair of players will be handed a mission for their game. Missions are generated randomly prior to the event. After each game, players flip over their mission sheet and fill out their results.
Battle Points: After players turn in their results, they earn battle points. Players earn battle points for the following:
