Hey, the Corporation from Mantic caught my eye, reading the new ruleset a couple of questions came up for me.

1) Is the "Force Organization Chart" just "must have 1 unit of 10+ guys who aren't marked with an * for each ordnance, armored, or hero unit? Or is there something I'm missing?

2)With that in mind, would an army with Veteran Marines as the mainstay unit be viable?

3) Seeing that Corporation is newer and has no vehicles, unlike forgefathers or marauders, can they still put out enough AT fire to destroy enemy vehicles reliably?

You - You there, wolf heathen! I long for combat!
Wolf heathen - I accept your challenge, but only on my terms! 250% points for me!
You - Ha! You've activated my trap card! Allied army! Come forth to assist!
Friend - Sup
Wolf Heathen - An equal point match?! This is not acceptable! Tau friend! Form up on me!

And then some guy throws a manta at the table and promptly breaks it in half sending figures and terrain everywhere.

I'm from the future. The future of space

1) for each 10+ guy "solid" unit, you can have one ordnance *and* one armored *and* one hero. So you don't need 30 guys to have one of each, but only 10.

2) Absolutely.

3) Yep. I'd recommend a couple 5 man veteran teams with a light laser cannon each as a start. Notice that the light laser cannons don't have the "Reload!" special rule which means you can move and shoot, giving them a threat range of 41" from their location at the beginning of their activation. Also, remember that the "Take it out!" independent fire rules means the light lasers can shoot at one target while the rifle guys shoot at another. So feel free to take some light lasers in your larger squads as well. Burst lasers are so good against infantry, so don't neglect those either.

Rangers and Enforcers can also do a great job at killing vehicles with magnetic charges.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.
