Is running a Jetseer and a couple of Bikelocks with reavers legal? If so has anyone had any experiences in this type of units effectiveness?

You mean attached all together in one unit? No, that is not legal.

Farseer + Warlocks on bikes? Yes.
Farseer + Reavers on Bikes? Yes.
Farseer + Reavers + Warlocks on Bikes in one big unit? No.

Ok Thanks for the clarification. So how well does the Farseer + Reavers on bikes fair?

I wouldn't imagine too well. Most of the things that a Farseer is good for don't work on DE units. (Guide, Fortune, etc.) I guess he could Doom their target...

Easier just to take some jetlocks or even GJB instead.

That being said, I've been seriously thinking of using Reaver JB to convert Jetlocks.

That would be pretty slick. I have been trying to acquire models for an Eldar w/ Dark Eldar allies JB list. So thats why I was wondering.

I think with good conversions, it could really work. I was thinking originally doing it as a nasty bloodbride unit, but I think just using eldar parts with the de jetbikes, it would work out well.

That would increase the reavers cover save right?

I've been thinking of pairing a jetbike Autrach with reavers, although farseer seems intruiging, with the powers.

Was thinking that too. I was thinking about running one Farseer with GJB and Bikelocks, and another with the Reavers using Prescience and one of other Divination powers hopefully Misforune.

I think, if you are planning on running a bike heavy unit like that, you are better off with just a farseer (or two) with bike locks.

Seer Council on bikes + Invisibility and Fortune (requires two farseers) is pretty ridiculous. It is too bad there are no jetbike characters from DE.

Yeah here's to hoping they get one in the next 20 or so years.

That could be useful. I was thinking however of running him with a group of hellions, and use them as a mop up unit. Then one Farseer with Doom and Fortune, and then try to get misfortune on the second Farseer. I rolled the dice a couple of times for funsies as if a group of Termies has been Doomed and Misfortuned and had some pretty solid results using the rolling as if the reavers were bladevaning the termies. One time I got really lucky and had it been an actual game would have dealt 8 unsaved wounds.

The Baron can't Turbo Boost. He's going to have a hard time actually letting Reavers be useful.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

They had the option in the original codex, actually. I had forgotten that the took Reaver Jetbike away as an option for an Archon.

That's why I wasn't really planning on running him that way. I think he would serve better making the Hellions more survivable.

Wow I would definitely be all over that if they could still do that.

On the contrary, the Farseer could use BRB powers to benefit the Reavers.

Right, but the BRB powers don't really help the reavers too much.

Roll Divination? Okay, prescience is good but could help any of your shooting units more. Misfortune is awesome but doesn't actually work on the reavers themselves, but their target so the FS doesn't need to be there. Ignore cover? Meh, not for reavers.

And Telepathy is mostly used against the enemy.

Much better to get a doom/fortune seer in a bike council. Or if your main list is eldar, a doom/fortune seer and a invisi-seer in a bike council.

I still want to try both version of the BRB power seers in practice at some point just to see which I like most.
