The Marauders look cool, and it seems that I could also use the minis in an Ork army if I wanted to!

How do they play?
Roughly when are their other models being released?
What's the average sized force?

They play similar to Orks, have vehicles, a unit like Nobz, in the sense that they can have power claws on each model (called Rippers), and also have one unit that can be all missile launchers.

Nobody knows when their next group of models is being released, likely when Kickstarter stuff starts happening.

The force size they give in their beta is 2000 points, listed on pg 55 of the pdf they gave out.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

How is the size of maurauders in comparison to gw orks and marines?

Eastern Frontier Exploratores
224th Astra Legion (main army)
628th Praetorian Guard Cohort (wife's army)
827th Auxilia Cohort (ad mech fun)
825th Foderati Cohort (in the beginning army)
1212th Foederati Cohort - Jokaero (cause I like apes with guns)

Height wise, about the same. But they are very-noticeably thinner. Their DB Orx are around GW size (maybe a tad larger), and that's the style most fans seem to want. Personally, I'd also rather upgrade to DB sized ones. I'd use the old ones as a form of degenerate Orx, but for main ones I'd rather have DB style Orx.

I quite like the smaller size of Orx, compared to the GW counterpart, as it gives people an alternative style of sculpt (the GW Brian Nelson ones have already been done well, why do more of the same?) I have a collection of the KoW Marauders and they are nice little sculpts - makes me think of the more 'evil/cunning', Tolkein or D&D style ork, rather than the enraged-baboon that has evolved from the GW template. I've got a small collection of the Warpath Marauders, and they are nice - remind me a lot of the early Rogue Trader GW orks in fact.

I don't think it's really possibly to go off the size of the DB Marauders - those guys are guards, and are necessarily bigger than the other guys on the team.

Finally, I believe the Kickstarter for Warpath is coming in the Spring this year (perhaps after the KoW one is done and dusted?). Will no doubt be a great time to get a sizeable collection of them for very little money, if you like those miniatures!
