For a long while I've been wanting to make a Mega Armored Warboss. They're good uses of AoBR warbosses, they're imposing as heck, a good leader for a Meganob mob and frankly just look freaking cool.
So today I decided I was going to start working on one. (Pictures in the spoilers if you want to see.) And then I got to thinking: "Well, if I'm going to USE this guy... HOW am I going to use him? And for that matter, how would Meganobs work with X or Y."
Spoiler:

Mega-Boss Equipment:
With Mega-Bosses, the equipment selection is hilariously limited. The choices are: Attack Squig, Cybork Body, and Bosspole. That's right! A whole three (useful) equipment options. I know in several situations I have to have a Bosspole (mainly when leading Meganobz), but the other options are a bit more unclear to me. When should I choose to take a Squig or get Cybork bits? Also: Should my Mega-Boss have the bosspole if he's moving up with da (shoota/choppa) boyz, or should the nob have it?

Mega-Armored NobZ:
If I do run a squad of MegaNobs, what are all viable options for leaders of the group? It seems to me that a Maddok Grotsnik is the best option by far. Because the MANZ are slow-and-purposeful, Grotsnik an' Gang don't have to RUN at the nearest enemy, just walk. And Grotsnick also gives Feel No Pain and Cheap Bioniks! What could POSSIBLY be better than that? Is there anything better?

Any insight to these questions would be more than wonderful, and if you want to give a comment about the progress on my Mega-Boss, I'd love to hear it. Thanks in advance.

Also, another topic: Transports
I'm probably thinking that Trukk's are the best choice. They're fast, dirt cheap, the explosion is only Strength 3, and they've got enough room for 6 MANZ.
They pop like balloons if anything even looks at them cross-ways though.

Is the Big Trakk viable for MANZ? It's not fast, but it's got 12 front armour, 11 size, and has a lot more firepower to come to bare. It's not that much more expensive even.

Then there's Battlewagons which I know are a staple, but they seem a bit pricey to me. Of course, I'm certain a Deffrolla and full Squad of Mega Nobz can destroy an army by itself.
What about Gun Wagons? They're cheaper, but with less transport capacity and 1 less front armour. But I think the lack of a Deff Rolla or Fast leaves them out.

Did I forget any other options?
(Also: Over 50 views and no responses? What the feth?)

This might be more of a tactics thread...

But when I run my Manz i usually put them in a trukk with a ramp and red paint. Now that is very easy to blow up, but in my lists I also run 2-3 Battlewagons also. This usually draws the attention away from the trukks. I also run a Big Mek with KFF for the 5+ cover save. First turn you can move 13 (red paint) then boost in the shooting phase another 12. If the trukk is still alive that gives you another 6 inch of movement from the transport, 6 inch disembark, then the 2d6 charge range. Thats a charge range of about 44 inches by the 2nd turn (taking into account average roll of 7 for assault range.) Pretty scary.

Instead of the doc I prefer the reguler Mega Boss, he is cheaper, more killy, and you can target his unit at what you want not just the closest.

Also always give the boss cybork body, that 5+ inv save is a life saver. As to the Manz adding a combiskortcha or two is never a bad invesment. Some enemies need to be cooked a little before eaten.

meh kombi scorchas arent all that awesome anymore thanks to that stupid FAQ on wound allocation. I only take them now if i got room to spare.

To me the Meganob Warboss is equally lethal as the biker, just lacks the speed. I always run him with meganobz and i hide them in a trukk for a turn or two while i piss off my opponent with boyz n lootas or something. Once the battle is actually going i zip them up. If im facing a race that likes vehicles i'll put planks on that thing cuz i'd rather drive up 12 inches, drop planks, and have my Meganob boss whack it at S10 6 times (counts as Assaulting, so 4attacks + 1 from squig + charge) and usually pop it right there and im still in the trukk. Pisses my necron friend SOOOO MUCH when i do that do his command barge
I tend to favor the meganob boss cuz that guy just does - not - die unless youre stupid and send them at a bunch of AP2 shooters. Unless you took Ghazzy i wouldnt send them at a MC, Ghazzy would just laugh at it during his Waagh even in a challenge but a normal meganob boss would get flattened.
