Subject: Tyranid use for bastion

I thought of following tyranid tactic using imperial bastion:
Bastion is placed about 5" from the edge of your deployment zone, towards the center of the table.
Unit of Hive guard is positioned so that they embark into bastion on turn one (per-measuring helps a lot there). By this they get range boost and protection, and foe gets a tempting AV14 target. Second slot in the bastion can be occupied either by second squad of Hive guard or by squad of 5 genestealers with broodlord, who provides psy support with Biomancy powers and disembarks late in game to grab home objective nearby.
If you use reserves, comm relay can be bought and controlled by Hive guard embarked on roof.
What do you think?

Don't see how the bastion gives much of a range boost. HG don't need LOS in the first place.

Range boost, i.e +6" (move 5" to the bastion door, get inside it, fire from bastion firing point/roof that is another 5" forward towards the enemy)

the thing with buildings is, if you come up against something that can destroy them, you are better outside.
Lances, Ordinace. When those things come crashing down the guys inside get squished
