So i really wana do a death company list with lots of bolter toting men in black but i dont wana dish out the money for all of those 5man dc squads. Im just wondering if if you think you could take a box of tacs and make them into convincing dc.

Back then they were pretty much just black armored blood angels, as long as you can tell then sure

Im always weary cause the club i play most at is pretty hardcore into the WYSIWYG rule. I just want to avoid catching flack.

Well just paint on a few more skulls!

This is what they looked like back then, a lot less ornate than now. Get the color scheme right and there shouldnt be any problems

In my view there should be many more of them in standard black painted armour than the ornate stuff. I thought that the poor schmucks succumbing to the black rage were identified on the eve of battle and just did a quick paint job to show their fate. If the Blood Angels have to carry around a whole pile of spare bits of armour, just in case their mates go mental, it would affect their logistics by quite a bit

You could always just buy a box of DC to mix in with normal tactical marines. That way, they would be less ornate and still look legit.

Imperial guard: Because quantity has a quality of it's own.

Sisters of Battle can be used in any game, with the exception of chess, Monopoly and of course, Warhammer 40,000.

After 8 editions, you might have thought that GW could get fantasy right.

This is probably the best thing to do, one box of bits can go along way in making a few tac squads look like legit DC.
