Hey guys. I bought a heldrake and thought it best to paint it in 3 parts (body and wings seperate). I have spent ages painting it but now cannot seem to get the wings to stick in the rather naff ball joint. I bought some green stuff yesterday and made the socket for the wing slightly raised to increase surface contact and then tried to glue it in but with no luck. I have now put some liquid green stuff onto the wing and then put superglue in the socket and attached the 2 about half an hour ago and am leaving it on my bed proped up againt my pillow to allow it so set for a few hours. If this doesn't work what the hell do I do next?

Seems to me you've gone from trying bad solutions to trying even worse. All you should need is plastic glue, use plenty on both connecting surfaces, let melt for 10 seconds or so, push together, hold for a bit, then put down to rest. If you can't leave it to rest properly then pin it. GS and superglue is inferior in staying together and liquid GS will rip straight off, it has no connective properties beyond filling and smoothing surfaces. I would never glue stuff to it.

I guess the lesson to learn here is to dryfit and sort your pieces before painting. If the ball is too small to give enough contact to the socket you could just file it down on the contact side to give more surface. If it's too big file/reshape it to fit. If there's no socket you can drill one out, if the hull is too thin to do so then reinforce it with plasticard, the list goes on. There's heaps of ways to fix it and it all depends what tools and modeling skill you have. Not to mention pinning.
For proper help, beyond general modeling advice, pictures of your model's problematic areas would be good.

the only solution i can see while holding the model in my hand is .
Filling the whole body or lower part with a epoxy or clay so you can actually pin the wings to the body again.
and if your talking about the wings on the arms. then you need to cut the pin that holds the wing in the arm short and the ball at the end of the wing off so you can medel them together with greenstuff . seeing as the wings ont fit in the arms if you'v already connected the armor..
anywho, this is a lesson for you to dry fit stuff... luckely you didnt do this with a Titan

I did test fit and it went together ok but the kepy coming off and I just thought it was due to too little glue. But now I know it was too little surface contact. All done now. Pics up in the showcase in 5

Maybe you put the paint on a bit too thickly and made the areas too large?

You might have to start over with the socket and wing.
Can you supply some pictures of what you are talking about? It would make it easier to help out that way.
