Heya folks of dakka,
just thought i would share a few pics of something. My friend asked me a little while back if i would paint something for him that he got from ebay, i was a little suprised when he handed me them
a bag full of chibi guyver figure and one piece i recognise but cant quite put my finger on where from or who/what it is, so the unknown became the tester for primer coat ect.

this is the one i cant figure out where i recognise it from, it got the test coat of vallejo grey, it seems to have adhered better than i expected
maybe someone can identify it for me

then we get onto the body of what he wanted painting

guyver 1 (also with vallejo grey)

a guyver 2 bust (sorry about the flash from my phone)

guyver 3

and a hyper zoanoid (Zx-Tole i think)

i wanna keep em hehehehe
also a few questions, i have only really ever painted minis for wargaming, so im wondering if i should perhaps take the area under the feet and cut it back right to the sole of the foot, or maybe leave a small area of it, what do you think?
also, would be really grateful if anyone can identify the first character, and.. any advice for something i may overlook first time painting something like this would be appreciated also, my main thinking on them so far is that it may be a case of less is more with them.

thanks guys,

Can't help with the ID unfortunately.

I'm a big fan of the Guyver, these crack me up.

Interesting color choices, but I like it. If you can, I'd add more shading/blending to the armor and eyes. I think you could use the bits at the feet as a base if you haven't removed them all. Do some kind of street or urban rubble. Look forward to seeing the others!
