In the new codex a fire warrior squad Shas'ui leader can take items from the infantry wargear list, one of which being a hard wired multi-tracker. My question is this; the rules for the multi-tracker state that it can be used to fire two "battlesuit" weapon systems. The rules for hard-wired systems in the infantry armoury state that quote "Hard-wired systems allow Tau without a battlesuit to benefit from some support systems normally only mounted on a battlesuit." So is a Shas'ui with multi-tracker and markerlight able to fire both his pulse rifle/carbine and his markerlight at he same time?

I vote no, as the markerlight is not a battlesuit weapon system, it's wargear. Neither is a pulse rifle/carbine/pistol. A battlesuit weapon system is a weapon mounted on a battlesuit.

I believe the phrase "Hard-wired systems allow Tau without a battlesuit to benefit from some support systems normally only mounted on a battlesuit." refers to other optional hardwires such as drone controllers and blacksun filters and possibly the target lock. The key word being SOME, which means not all of them give a benefit. In theory, you can also give the HW Multi-tracker to an ethereal that only carries CCW's, which gives you absolutely nothing for a cost of a few points.

As things stand in RAW, a Shas'ui in FCW squad can take a Multitracker but do nothing with it.

I believe it is a typical editing mistake. (BTW, the copyright notice at the front of the codex is 2005, although it has been published in 2006...)

Whether GW intended for the Shas'ui to use the multi-tracker to fire his rifle and his markerlight, or they intended him not to have a multi-tracker at all, is another of those interesting questions.

You will see that a markerligth is a weapon in the new codex and that it can be a battlesuit weapon also because stealth suit can use it.

The Battlesuit armoury does not list either the Markerlight or the Pulse rifle/carbine.

But in order to fire two battlesuit weapon systems, you need to have two of them.

Even if the markerlight can be considered as a battlesuit weapon, which I can see a little bit of an arguement for, a pulse rifle/carbine is definitely not. Thus, you do not have two battlesuit weapon systems, and therefore do not have the required equipment to use the multi-tracker.
