So i really like the idea of running pedro kantor with 3 units of vets in drop pods locking down objectives or causing general mayhem in the opponents backfield. My question is what would i need to take to finish fleshing out a 2k list?

I'm not a big fan of suicide Sternguard, with you taking Pedro, it looks like you want them to hold objectives? if you are throwing them away then don't take Pedro because he'll probably be your warlord and you don't want to just hand him over to your opponent.

Maybe some tactical squads in rhino's to move up and support your Sternguard? or infiltrating scouts?

are you taking combi-weapons? meltas for anti-tank, flamers for hordes and plasmas for TEQ and such, or even replacing their bolter for a heavy weapon like the Heavy flamer or plasmacannon. I never like getting rid of a bolter on Sterguard, but it's an idea

I'd say fast things to move up and support your pod squads or long range guns that can hit your opponent from your deployment zone.

just an idea

Maybe you could drop a thunder fire cannon and a couple of assault marines in drops pods with your sternguard. Your Pedro will give your AM another attack which should be enought to practically destroy whatever your units are gunna be dropping on

I have been toying about with the idea of 3 10men sternie squad w/combi weapons with Pedro, chappie and a librarian with null zone and done shield all in drop pod
