Anyone know where I can get a discounted WD subscription?

Miniature Market used to offer the subscription but they no longer do.

Successful trades since 2011 with GREY88, Theophony, midget_overlord, Stricknasty, ratmkith, Swissgeese, djones520, ArcSoll, LValx, Joravi,...

In my opinion, it has improved as of late compared to how it was before they did the re-design. It isn't perfect, but it's better than it was. As for a discounted subscription, I'm not sure if you will find one. The subscription is cheaper than buying it every month anyway, so I doubt you will find further discounts.

It's certainly not worth the current sticker price, but with a suitable (50%+) discount it might be alright.

On topic; I doubt anyone will do an official subscription deal as it's probably store only now. There are a few internet discounters that also sell WD which might give you a better deal but I don't have any US examples.

Doesn't really matter why I want one does it?

A pointless and obviously obnoxious reply.

I mean, I dont want one either, but its neither here nor there is it when the bloke has asked a genuine question.

In answer to the question, I wouldn't even have a clue. GW aren't big on discounts, although I do know that the actual stores do them, because a bloke tried to sell me them saying it was way cheaper. Ask in a GW is my advice, Im sure the guy said that you get 12 issues for 9 or something if you pick them up from the store.

Either that, or check some big internet discounters.

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

I went 2 years with a sub. Now I pick and chose which ones I get. I know my local indy store gives a % off every Tuesday but I spend that much in gas getting there. You may wish to check your local indy store for this if you DONT want the WD mini that GW does.

Actually I believe the current WD sub offer works in much the same way. At least if you pick the issue up from a store I'm told one can choose to skip an issue ( or more one would assume) if the focus or content that month is nothing that grabs one.

At least so I've been informed by various GW retail employees.

You can of course also receive the periodical through the mail , and receive every issue, be it relevant or not. Given this is less of a saving and that subscription copies arrive after the day of general release -- geographical/travel issues aside -- one wonders quite why anyone would choose the latter option ?

Still, an easy present from or for a loved one eh ?

Give ?

No.

Sell ?

Yes.

In fact anyone -- not just subscription holders -- can buy the model.

Great news indeed !

I believe the last time I saw GW discount anything, I was in secondary school - No joke, I remember it as it was around about the same time that Kurt Cobain died.

You could steal it I suppose, or wait for someone to put it on ebay?

The sub I have is you get a ticket-stub book with 12 tickets, for 12 dwarfs. You go in store and get which months you want when they come out, and the book expires at the end of 2014, so far i've only used 3 or so, and had it for more than 6 months.

Yeah the collect in store sub is just a book of vouchers for 12 issues over 24 months, so you can buy every other one (dependant on stock). If you're getting it sent to your house you just get the next 12.

I got a rolling subscription about 4 years ago, I pay £9 per quarter for a monthly WD delivered to door. I don't even play 40K/Fantasy anymore, and I hardly ever read the WDs I get, but I'm hesitant to cancel it as I know I'll never get the deal as good again

Although I might have to cancel, I'm running out of shelf space..

The White Dwarf Magazines are pretty bad. I got the 3 issues and they are horrible. There are better Tabletop wargaming mags out there.
