I love the forms for Drop Pod found in News and Rumors, but I can't seem to find this "featherboard" spoken of. I went to 2 hobby shops, 2 K-Marts, and a Wal-Mart looking for materials for this, but I can't find anything...

I'm thinking like trace-paper for some of it, but I'm really not sure. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what I need?

If that upsets your fluff stomach, buy a case of "it's just a game"-bizmo and get over it.

It's foamboard. "Carton-plume" or "carton-mousse" means foamboard.

Is foamboard the same as foamcore?

On Dakka when we can't use RAW we use Name calling, Poo throwing, and Dictionary quotes in that order to resolve it. - Glaive Company CO

The closest I've found is...Well, kind of foamboard :/ It's got a hard plastic type surface on both sides and foam in the middle, but I'm pretty sure this isn't what I need.

Where's the best place to look?

SaimAlendryelII: Yes.
Mosg: That's the stuff. The 'plastic' is actually paper, hence the 'carton' in 'carton-plume'.

So...you need 3mm foamcore (for the 'wings'), 1mm thick card (for the decorations), and thin card (for the body).

Yes, foamboard, foamcard and foamcore are all names for the same thing.

Middle TN

walmart does indeed carry the 5mm foamboard. At my local store it was mixed in with the thicker stuff.
