This was a last hurrah for the very old Eldar codex recorded the week before the new release. Blighty (the Eldar player) may well have his new codex and Wraithknight in hand as I type this so you can be sure we'll be recording a match against the new Eldar this weekend. He went easy on me when I used my Tau for the first time with a relatively 'weak' Eldar list - should I return the favour and use a weaker overpriced vanilla Space Marine list, or should I come at the new Eldar with the full force of my Tau?

Thanks for the video. Congrats to the tau - I say a rematch is in order once the eldar player has a few days to sift through the new codex.

One thing from the battep - the cadre fire blade is t3 so the scatter laser wound he suffered in turn 3 would have instant deathed him. Overall though that game was very well exhibited.

Ah ha, yup we spotted that after the fact and thankfully it didn't change anything here since after taking the wound he neither shot or was shot at from memory. I'm still getting used to not running all T4 units~

Great report, really enjoyed the game. Maybe the Eldar player can take a Wraithknight for the next game, that might be a nice equalizer looking at their statline...

He has it built and I'm going to go face it in just over an hour from now with largely the same list I used here

That's pretty exciting. Will there be a battle report? I'm eagerly waiting to see the first new Eldar one. I won't get to test mine til next week (I ordered my Wraithknight and such online, won't be here til Monday and I game on Sunday), so I'll be using my Dark Eldar in in the mean time.

We did indeed record the battle! It should hopefully be uploaded tonight or tomorrow night.
