I've kind of shelved my orks for now too. Been focusing mostly on my Dark Eldar and starting to play my new Craftworld army a bit too. They are pretty nice. The Serpent shield is amazing at keeping vehicles alive forever, as can be seen in this battle. Having an ignore cover gun helps too...

This battle was kind of one sided, it seemed. Mostly because of bad luck on the other guys behalf, but it seemed like he had a lot of trouble dealing with your range, especially with his Vendettas taking forever to get in.

Really like the paint job on your Eldar, btw. Very clean and good looking. I always forget Wave Serpents are supposed to have those little projection rods on the front. I don't like them so haven't put them on mine. I hope that never ends up causing a problem at a game.

Nice to see another Yme-Loc Eldar player. Would be fun if we could team up someday for some massive Mechanized goodness. :-P

Keeping our fighters alive long enough to eradicate their points cost in enemy aircraft is going to prove difficult until they change the Vendettas points. Gotta stay away from those Quads. A Nightwing can survive, but those Crimson Hunters are just target practice.

Marbo was really the only disappointing roll I had with my reserves, I think if he had come in turn 2 it would have been ok and he would have hurt something. The Vendettas I was ok with since the other one got to come in later and keep the pressure on from the air. Biggest problem was just the sheer number of shots from the transports. The blasts from the Prisms were ok since I'm used to that and can manage one or two of them, but the Serpent spam would just eat through my blob like candy.

Overall though this was a good game, now I know what to expect from Eldar in the future and how to deal with them.

@Ponen yeah man it was a tough game from the get go. Not only were you playing against a new codex that you knew nothing about, but your reserves weren't exactly kind. I think our next game will be a bit different for you.

@Farseer - dude I would love that. Where you from? I'm pretty close to Pittsburg. If your ever in the area shoot me a PM... Would love to battle rep a game against you, or beside you.

@Tanu - yeah man I was really impressed with the serpents. My thoughts on building a list really revolves around spamming as many of the as I can. They deal with hordes easy enough, so now it's just finding the right balance between anti armor, and anti air... I'm getting close

Yea, I'm working on a Wraith army so the Serpents doing anti-horde is a godsend.

You live near Pittsburgh? I'm moving up there in August to go to school. I'll actually be living near a game place called Legions, if you've heard of it. I'll probably be taking my Orks and Dark Eldar there on a regular basis.

I play down at Legions a fair amount. I can give you my number when you move up and we can get a few games in!

You should proxy ( aint that a joke?) a WK. That guy will make anything bunched up crumble and can take out camping units in a pinch. He has not let me down in the games that I have played him.
